Do we really need another Joe McElderry?
 

Judging on past series I can really see Craig winning, he has always been one of the bookies favourite and he is a very safe/boring act...something the British public seem to go for (Joe McElderry, Matt Cardle, Leon Jackson, Steve Brookstein, Shayne Ward).

Does anybody here actually find Craig enetertaining? I admit he is a good singer but nothing special, plus he is so predictable and dull to watch!

Craig or Marcus would definitely flop.

I remember last year when Aiden was compared to Joe and I was like what? there two completely different singers and that has repeated itself here but instead with Craig.

Joe is much better than Craig imo and when Joe did an uptempo I didnt cringe unlike when Craig did his,although nobody could be worse at uptempos than Stacey solomon.

Marcus would boom so bad, however I think Craig could pull off a reasonable successful album.

That said, the 3 girls and Little Mix would all do so much better.

The only ones with any chance of success this series are Little Mix and Amelia. But I don't think either will last long really.

None of the above are wannabes, Amelia has a fantastic rock/pop voice, Marcus has a great soulful voice and Misha has an amazing/powerful voice

As a performer you need to have the whole package, and Craig has the voice but not the looks ..and he's creepy.

Hopefully he's this weeks *shocker* elimination :amazed:

I'm glad this has been brough up. Joe was consistent every week and never in the bottom 2 but he was boring. I neither cared nor knew that he was gay on the show, but even now, he's not camp like Marcus and Craig, which leans them a little towards Johnny-ness.

Joe really messed up by coming out either before or just after his album. I'm certainly not homophobic, but common sense tells you that lots of girls fancied him and their dreams were crushed. Look at Stephen Gately and Mark from Westlife - they were big pop stars before they announced anything, even if we had doubts, they weren't proven.

I'm not sure on Aston from JLS either. That would break a million hearts but the pieces are there, the softness, quite a lot of make-up, rarely seen with girls etc. I like JLS so it wouldn't bother me but unfortunately these announcements break hearts and JLS would suffer if it were to come out as true. I'm not alone in the Aston thought.

I don't agree that being gay has anything to do with his lack of appeal, and Marcus is amazing, however you do make some good points.

I also suspect that Aston could be gay, for the reasons you listed, I have thought this ever since I first watched him on The X factor back in 2008. I also think Jonathan Gill from JLS is 100% gay, it's so obvious...not that it matters..

try experimenting with music, instead of just listning to what ever the media gives you, then you might just find that x factor contestants are very, very mediocre.

why should the look have anything to do with it? it's a singing competition, not a fashion parade, why do you discriminate against what someone looks like?

looks can be fixed by having a good background team anyway
