Dead bird found in supermarket salad..

A dead bird has been discovered in a salad bought from a supermarket.

Paul Streeter's girlfriend found the "decomposed and skeletal" animal while eating her dinner, reports BBC News.

He recalled: "I couldn't believe my eyes. It was horrific.

"Suddenly, my girlfriend shrieked and couldn't believe what she'd found... She had ladled the salad onto her plate and thought she was cutting into one of the dark leaves."

He added: "I was concerned about the health of my family as they had eaten some of the salad."

Streeter's girlfriend was reportedly sick after the discovery.

The pre-prepared salad was bought in a Tesco store in Somerset.

The supermarket chain said in a statement: "We take matters of this kind extremely seriously and are very disappointed to learn of this incident.

"Ensuring our food is of the highest quality is extremely important to us and we and our suppliers have robust systems in place to prevent foreign objects getting into products."

"We are in contact with the customer and have apologised."

Eww:yuk:.

Our silly one was that there was a rat's tail found in a Big Mac at a place just outside Glasgow - every time we pass MacDouf's there on the M8 we always say "ratburger anyone?" Weegies will eat anything - just ask Pyr*
