Port

Ordered the groceries from Tesco and in there was (someone elses no doubt) bottle of port.

I have never ever tasted it. Nor want to (dunno why) so who do I palm it off on? :joker:

Shaun 20-11-2011 01:30 AM

Niamh. 20-11-2011 01:31 AM

I've had it with and without tonic water, the ones that never used tonic water had crushed ice instead.

It's apparently a "fortified wine" so I guess really strong tasting wine

The only good port is Port Ellen. Unfortunately the good ones are now worth £5k so you shouldn't drink them but instead sell them on eBay to rich Americans or Japanese. One time we had a power cut for 3 days in da village + snowed-in so I unwisely cracked a 1971 Cask Strength bottle with my next-door neighbour.

The bugger said "do you have any coke to put in this to kill the taste?" GRRRR

Black Bush is better Joe if the budget allows! When about your age my pal Alice had dark hair, so it always amused my small mind to say in the bar when it was her round "I'd like a Black Bush please darling" :)

Kerry 20-11-2011 03:04 AM

I wonder why people drink differently from their normal tipple at Xmas

Nice :joker:

I have had it. But prefer the regular at Xmas, just a nice drink to get slowly drunk on

Are you gonna get out that rancid 6 year old bottle of Baileys Kerster or stick to the coconut rum that nobody ever wants either?!
