Favourite thing about Christmas?

What is your favourite thing about the festive season? Is it the run up to Christmas, the presents, the food, family?

Black Dagger 01-12-2011 10:53 PM

Doing my annual Christmas show with the most wonderful people in existence.

I prefer the run up to Christmas. Buying presents, hearing Xmas songs on the radio, the smell of December if you know what I mean.

Plus I prefer Christmas Eve to Christmas Day.

Xmas Eve is when our family get together for a little drink or two :P

I find Christmas Day to be a little blurgh after the presents and dinner.

Preparing the meal with my mom.

The run up to Christmas  I love all the Christmassy movies and music you get on at this time of year. Also love going out shopping when there's Christmas lights and such a festive feel everywhere.

Its hard to say because I love pretty much everything about Christmas but If I had to choose it would be the part when people tell me how absolutely delicious my dishes are.

Getting free stuff. And snow if we're lucky enough.

I enjoy the atmosphere throughout December. It's sort of exciting despite not much to actually get excited about. Seeing others getting into the Christmas spirit is nice.

Just the general feel of happiness around Christmas time... It's definitely my favourite time of year - would be perfect if someone would give me the money to get pressies!

Glenn. 02-12-2011 10:54 AM

Christmas is my favorite time of year

Bollo 02-12-2011 05:56 PM

I love all the christmas lights and decorations round town & I love getting my santa hat and novelty christmas jumper on and meeting old friends for a drink on Christmas eve

King Gizzard 02-12-2011 05:59 PM

Christmas eve, the build up to christmas on christmas eve and the christmas eve sleep

Pyramid* 02-12-2011 06:08 PM

The run up. Selecting and thoughts for good pressies to buy, wrapping them up, and putting them under the tree. (putting the tree up

Stopping 'some' from trying to tamper with pressies (wax seals imprinted with a design no one has!!) - mostly staff, the wee buggars that they are!

Giving them out.

Spending time cooking my delegated dish to take round to friends, the girlie daftness over lunch, the PJ party on Boxing day if we've survived Xmas day.........

I love the whole thing.

And if it snows on Christmas Eve.....that is me in my element. :D

Being with my Family, I only see them odd times through the year with Uni, I love the food and just all being together.

Presents don't bother me, I love to see all my Nephews and Nieces getting theirs though.

I just like getting home and helping Mum with things, Mum gets forgotten a bit and does all the preparations especially since we lost my Grandmother, so I love helping Mum with it all.

Yeah, for me it's the togetherness that comes with Christmas that means the most to me,helping where I can to not only make it a harmonious and special time for my own loved ones but also those who are far less fortunate than I am.

I love nearly everything about Christmas.

The thing I love the most though probably, is all my family getting together and us having a nice big Christmas dinner then like sitting down to watch the Christmas specials on TV.
