Rebecca Ferguson has been named the most successful act from last year's crop of X Factor contestants by Amazon.

The online retailer revealed that pre-orders of Heaven surpassed those of winner Matt Cardle, One Direction and Cher Lloyd.

The album beat pre-orders of Lloyd's Sticks + Stones by 571%, Cardle's Letters by 181% and One Direction's Up All Night by 11%.

Amazon's Head of Music Buying Paul Firth said: "Rebecca Ferguson's strong pre-order performance is a good indicator that she is set to follow in the footsteps of the very successful X Factor runners-up in previous years by achieving stronger sales than the ultimate winner.

"Over the past three years we've seen Rebecca Ferguson ahead of Matt Cardle, Olly Murs ahead of Joe McElderry and JLS ahead of Alexandra Burke in the charts and with Rebecca Ferguson, Olly Murs, One Direction and JLS all with albums in the top 20 we're sure that this weekend's runners-up will be pleased to know that all's not lost if they miss out on the coveted win."

Ferguson's album is currently on course to chart inside the top three in the UK albums chart on Sunday.

Y'all can stay mad, she's the real winner http://gagadaily.com/public/style_em...lt/flutter.gif

Some of the biggest names in history wouldn't be able to sell singles now to be fair, she is an album artist.

Alot of people here in the UK have trouble with sleeping, so they bought her album to help

I'm glad, she deserves that title. She was the most talented from last years series by a long mile. I need to buy her album.

That doesn't even make sense :joker:

Good for her, she's a very talented

Niall 09-12-2011 02:22 PM

I don't know who she is, but the margin at which she outsold Cher is bloody hilarious :laugh2:

Locke. 09-12-2011 02:24 PM

Only on pre-orders.

If she charts top 3, that is excellent......the most talented maybe, but I thought she was in danger of being overlooked with the (relative) success of Cher, One Dimension and Cardle. NOT SO, apparently...good on yer, Becky!! :spin:

What makes LESS sense is the apparent rush (well, sort of) to buy Olly Murs' album. He fiited in really well with the Muppets on XF last week. You couldn't see the join :joker: Only presume his stint on XTRA factor has won him a few part-time girly fans.....

Jords 09-12-2011 03:06 PM

Her first single is boring but I will get around to listening to the album, has amazing reviews.

Getting my mum it for Xmas too because she loves her voice.

fruit_cake 09-12-2011 03:10 PM

I thought she was the most naturally talented last year

Olly has a good fanbase, his first album went double platinum and his new one sold 148,000 in its first week which is 40k higher than the first week of his first album.. So I reckon he will end up going double platinum again.

Dance With Me Tonight is #1 in todays chart aswell 3 weeks after its release, so is probably going to end up being his biggest selling single.

Im not her biggest fan but well done to her, especially for beating One Direction.

Marc 09-12-2011 03:22 PM

Her voice is awful IMO

bbfan1991 09-12-2011 03:26 PM

Fair play to her, however, I still find her dull and lacking any star quality..

Brother Leon 09-12-2011 04:08 PM

We all know that title truly belongs to the 1D boys :worship:

Shaun 09-12-2011 04:10 PM

Shaun 09-12-2011 04:10 PM

I always like most of the marmite acts. JLS are probably the act I supported who has done the best!:joker:
