Wish you'd told me that about 3 months ago Arista. I've spent a bliddy fortune on gifts!:joker:

I have however, loved every minute of it though, buying & stashing away pressies over the months like the canny Scot I am.

Arista anyone ever tell you that you can be so depressing at times? I'm not a huge fan of Christmas but some people are, so let them enjoy it for what it means to them.

Mystic Mock 11-12-2011 03:21 AM

Christmas is where you become a spoilt brat, you need to be one of us Arista.

REye 11-12-2011 10:18 AM

Christmas can be a sad time for a lot of people. Not everyone will enjoy it but that doesn't mean you should bombard your negativity and unhappiness on to others . Let them enjoy it instead of putting a downer on it. Christmas isn't just for children. They most probably won't understand the back log to it but none of the less.

I have Full Rights
to not have a Xmas

Its Stinks

REye 11-12-2011 10:38 AM

Yes you do but I think what that poster is trying to get at is why dampen others happiness. I think it would be better to let others enjoy it. It's very dampening when you're in a great mood then someone has to be all unhappy and put forward their depressing views. Let others enjoy it. Take a back seat. You are rather negative and forceful with your views. Like the poster said:. Let others enjoy it for what it is.

This.

FGS I understand some people don't like Xmas, fair play to them but leave other people alone to enjoy without being bitter about it :bored:

5 posts in ....... and you're telling others what they should and should not be posting/comment on?.....

Given the title of the thread - Xmas stinks - if people don't like Arista's view on it - don't open the thread up and read the comments then.

There are a lot of people who don't like Xmas for a variety of reasons - not because are a miserable git, but often for many other reasons - yet they have to listen and watch the rest of the world lose their minds for weeks leading upto one day that is over in a flash.

I see not a thing wrong with someone having a thread like this to voice their opinion.

If you don't like it - don't open the thread - the title very much explains it's not the I LOVE XMAS spirit.

Back down now. This is an open forum where anyone can express an opinion regardless of post count as you so often like to remind everyone. No offence to Arista but he posts the negative stuff in the Christmas countdown thread and he is mature enough to know that some people will not agree with his opinion without you chiming in.

It's one thread - one, that doesn't regale and embrace Christmas. I'm aware it's an open forum which allows me to also 'chime in', in the same way that you are saying others are allowed to post.

I often read mods telling people "If you don't like the thread or what it's about, don't post in it".

It's grumpy thread - so I don't see the point in coming into a grumpy thread to tell people not to be grumpy.

I find that a bit 'off', and that's what I said.
