Disagree. I admire her for at least trying to be creative, and capable of writing her own stuff. Same can't be said for most mainstream artists.

eh, her album got a pretty mixed critical reception and she hasn't been commercially on top, so I wouldn't say she was overrated. Not many people take her seriously anyway. And as Samuel said, at least she writes her music.

I'd say Jessie J was.

I don't know how people can say she's overrated when she has done everything herself. People think she's overrated because she's always talked about fashion wise, not music wise

let's not get ahead of ourselves, she doesn't do everything herself, she has about 20 producers :hmph:

Alot of people never shut up about her and make her out to be the greatest thing to happen to music
So in that sense she is overated

its not like she is overrated by everybody but those horrid 'little monster' creatures or whatever they are called act like the sun shines out of her arse and i hope the president authorizes a mass culling of them very soon

All I can say is Lady Who? Exactly my point. Born This Way whilst a good (IKR) album it never lived up to it's expectations and the singles did not perform as well as expected. Don't get me started on the visuals...

Jessie J is more overrated. GaGa may have had a ton of hype surrounding Born This Way but the amount of times I've heard someone say "Jessie J" this year is sickening.

At least Jessie J doesn't rely on gimmicks to keep herself in the public eye

I agree. Although I do like the majority of her songs,(well pretty much every song she releases), I think she needs to tone her entire image and OTT persona WAY DOWN.

Its so old its predictable.

IMO GaGa has toned it down lately. But everyone just moans that she's lost her flare or some ****.
