How to ruin a TV show in 13 weeks...

Well, judging by this forum with just 2 and a half weeks until launch, Channel 5 have done a pretty good job! :joker:

If it was the launch of channel 5 BB in January and the last we had seen of it was UBB in August 2010 then I would probably be quite excited. But, their eagerness to cram two series in this year has just made me go off it even more.

The format needed a break. They didn't give it one and now I'm personally bored stiff of it.

I remember the days where I'd be sat watching TV and a two second eye flash would come on screen and me and the family would suddenly remember "Big Brother's back", back when you'd have a chance to forget about it a bit or actually get excited. But, nowadays, it feels like it never goes away.

Once the hype of Xmas and TXF has died down I think people will start talking about it a little bit again.

Jords 18-12-2011 07:25 PM

There is nothing to talk about?

Toxic 18-12-2011 07:27 PM

I used to get SO excited about the eye flashes etc. But now I literally couldn't give a **** and it's all down to over kill

I liked the trailer a lot and I'm looking forward to it, but there is little to discuss yet and Christmas is taking all the attention at the moment.

Callum 18-12-2011 07:35 PM

DS is the biggest BB forum though and it's much busier than here

Tom 18-12-2011 07:42 PM

Yeah but even usually on here theres still more than posts 4 threads per day with house speculation (aerial pics), advert talk, rumours of whos going in. This year... nothing. Noone cares

Channel 4 left the show in a pretty good position, and Channel 5 had over 5 million viewers and one of their highest ever audiences when the show moved. Not sure about how much hype there was before CBB but I imagine a fair amount. But Channel 5 have well and truly killed it. They should've just left BB 2011 alone

That'll be 9.32pm last Sunday then.

daniel-lewis-1985 18-12-2011 09:11 PM

Yeah theres no hype and the only reason for this is it being back to soon.

Christmas is getting all the attention though.

I will be excited for instance if i was watching itv2 and the new BB ad came on though but coz i never watch Channel 5 now its like im seeing no promotion.

Shaun 18-12-2011 09:19 PM

i'm not surprised, i don't have the energy for 3 series in less than a year (not that I like the current format anyway)

daniel-lewis-1985 18-12-2011 09:23 PM

When BB13 starts in June/July we would have had 4 series of BB in the space of 11 months.

Ridiculous

GypsyGoth 18-12-2011 09:27 PM

If Patrick was here it'd be a lot busier.

iRyan 19-12-2011 01:17 AM

I don't care about CBB as much as regular BB, and since BB just ended like a month and a half ago there's not that much hype for one happening again so soon.

Mystic Mock 19-12-2011 01:51 AM

Normal BB is more popular on the forums than CBB,thats when you will see here liven up.

Jordan. 19-12-2011 09:25 AM

It's going to be a complete flop. If no one on a BB forum gives a **** as if the general public will.

Yes..BB without P is like Christmas without tinsel

Niall 19-12-2011 11:07 AM

It really is overkill. I never had the tie to watch the other series' that were on this year in full, so I can't say what I think of the quality of them, but I just think its too much of a good thing. I'm not excited at all and I really couldn't give a **** as to whether it was in or not.

On that note, I will be watching however.

fruit_cake 19-12-2011 11:47 AM

I'll be watching it regardless, but I'm not really excited about it at all. The whole reality TV show thing is getting a bit tiring to me.
