The thing that gets me with people who get implants is that they don't seem to realise that it's ongoing: on the proviso that there is no side effects or no issues: they need to be replaced in due course (avg 10 years or thereabouts, so it's a costly (and risky) business - and the time will come when they have to possibly removed for good - resulting in stretched breast tissue, hanging like spaniels ears: or then having to undergo more serious surgery & pay for a mastoplexy. French women may need faulty breast implants removed. Given the figures they themselves quote: "30,000 women" - French "It is thought that as many as 40,000 British women " Does being British reduce the possiblity of the implants rupturing or the risks of cancer developing from the silicone? |
