Hope all you Tibbers young and old had a wonderful day today - that you received the pressies you were looking for, that you had a fabulous Christmas Day Feast for Lunch / Dinner.

Did everyone enjoy.......

Awwhh....it's lovely to hear that you've had a really good day and enjoyed it - it's just soooooooo good when it all turns out even better than hoped.
:thumbs2:

Great day this end with me old muckers - nice pressies that were spot on, booze aplenty and far too much food stuffed down the neck, but god, it's was good!!! :D Thank god for Gaviscon double action :spin2:

Tom 25-12-2011 10:31 PM

Highlight was playing Twister and ending up in a very compromising position with the future mother in law. As usual the kids got games and the so called adults took over them

I enjoyed it, really good day and didn't touch a drop of alcohol all day which makes a change for Christmas day

Visage 25-12-2011 10:39 PM

The Visage family had a wonderful and magical day....

I'm ready for bed.

True, the presents were nice. It is a rather hollow gesture though. :/ I am still very appreciative though.

However the day and emotions/mood was horrible so the day wasn't great.

If you think that's what they were: then send them off to some Romanian kids home: for kids that truly have had nothing all their lives - not even hollow gestures.

Sorry Charlie your day wasn't the way you wanted it to be - but you really are coming over incredibly ungrateful - not re the gifts: but taking the very things we all take for granted - when so many people have nothing.

Scarlett. 25-12-2011 10:58 PM

Despite working for most of the day, it's been nice, I didn't get too much, but thats not what Christmas is about. Getting on great with my parents, and for once they didn't get me boxers and socks lmao :p

Benjamin 25-12-2011 11:00 PM

No presents, and I had to work, but the tips I made today more than made up for it. :)

Hope your customers were nice to you and that they rewarded you well in tips whilst they were being waited on hand and foot.

I know I sound ungrateful and I hate myself for it but I had a crappy day and I can't help the way I feel, yes others have a lot less, however other people have something I long for much more; ignorance. As they say ignorance is bliss. I would give all the gifts in the world just to switch my mind and emotions off for a day.

And please do not get me wrong, I am happy and grateful for the gifts just not all the shouting, crying and feeling emotionally oppressed.

It's a good feeling seeing the tips mount up - Iused to love working the festive season in the pub/cocktail bar - it was almost like socialising and getting paid very well for it !!! Esp when we'd be allowed to dress up as sexy santas - worked wonders for the tip jar!! Thought getting home and getting the feet up was bliss too !

Just because somebody gets presents doesn't automatically mean they should be happy. People do have other reasons outside being given presents to make them feel unhappy, not everyone in this country is a lucky as some members on here that have a loving and stable family life, myself included.

I personally have had a really crap day and felt like **** all day, I'm just good at concealing it, unlike my good friend Charlie, so no need to get catty at him for it please.

Maia 25-12-2011 11:11 PM

I had an amazing day  So much Pixie. Loads of nice food too.

I'm not being catty - I'm being very realistic. Also: the thread does say Post here if you had a Great christmas Day today.

I didn't start the thread like that to be met with moans, groans and people doing their damndest to offload their misery onto others. I read enough of it all last night - woe is me crap - enough.

I don't have loving family members around me - I'm not moaning about it every second on here. didn't you tell Arista to stop posting depressed posts on nice happy threads a short while agao and stating along with others that Arista should stop spoiling it for everyone else who DOES look forward to Christmas and who DID enjoy the day?

Fair enough, then just ignore it rather than respond.

And in response to your other post, yes the tips over the festive period are amazing.
