"This is my story" Deceased boy's video about near death experiences

The video was made 18th December 2011, he died Christmas Day night

R.I.P. Ben

Suze 28-12-2011 11:20 AM

That is so terribly sad :( I am glad he had his belief, it must have helped so very much to sustain him at times. So sad he was taken at such a young age though :(

Ammi 28-12-2011 12:15 PM

Heartbreaking...an incredible acceptance..an amazing boy

MeMyselfAndI 28-12-2011 12:56 PM

I'm not going to watch it, seems sad:(

blandchild 28-12-2011 02:36 PM

Actually it is quite uplifting as he clearly meant it to be.

Really brave young guy, a totally sad but really inspirational message.

Z 28-12-2011 05:59 PM

That was interesting to watch.

GypsyGoth 28-12-2011 06:15 PM

I watched the first few seconds, I don't think I'm in the mood to look at it now, he did have nice handwriting though.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 29-12-2011 01:24 AM

I read about it but haven't watched a video yet. There was an interesting comment in dailymail that people that experience near death always seem to see heaven with the warm light and everything but nobody ever experiences hell. That is true. I want to hear someone that stood in front of the gates of hell gosh darnit. I want them to tell us that they saw elvis, james dean and Heath ledger shoveling bloody coal into a fire while walking barefoot on burning ground.

I believe near death experience is caused by a massive release of dimethyltryptamine from your brains pineal gland.

I'm amazed people always jump to the spiritual conclusion. Your brain is more than capable of coming up with some weird out stuff all on it's own.

King Gizzard 29-12-2011 01:55 AM

Think this is the account he posted them on, in two parts, different music

Even if we are simply "a ghost in the machine", a mistake of a few cells joining together to form a concious being, I think that we might have an eternal dream, and to us, that dream is the afterlife. I don't believe there is a almighty being, though their could be some sort of energy that we rejoin when we die. It's not impossible that some sort of life force is real, we barely know anything about the universe.

It doesn't matter if God or heaven is real or not, it's still nice to know that death isn't scary eigther way. It's really sad that he's gone now, but at least we know he really is resting in peace, and it was actually a nice experience for him.

I don't really fear death, but i do fear dying. I'm scared of how overwhelming the actual FEAR will be in that moment that you know yu are dying, so the fact that when he did die a few times, he wasn't very scared and he felt comforted by something (whether angels or a release of brain chemicals it doesn't matter) is very reassuring.

King Gizzard 29-12-2011 02:21 AM

Not really scared of death, just hate what my family would be like

Stu 29-12-2011 02:24 AM

Eternal nothingness is okay if your dressed for it.

I dont need to it is up to whoever believes such illogical superstition to prove that they have a basis for their claptrap.

This is why science and logic works and superstition and religion does not....:spin:

You do need to prove it, but you simply can't, so you refuse, fair enough.

I don't know what to believe, the universe is a magnificent place, science is only scratching the surface. It's not beyond logic and reason to assume there are forces we don't know about, but I do agree that the whole "God" thing is rather silly.

Science and religion aren't antithetical, most of the great Scientists in history were also Christians; Galileo, Newton, Darwin etc.

I don't believe in a Christian God, but there is yet to be a Scientific truth that contradicts the possibility of something existing beyond our understanding. I wouldn't attribute the kid's visions to something supernatural though, I think it's more likely the brain was playing tricks on him. Sad video all the same
