What do you all do for New Years dinner? and what do you have?

Didn't know it was supposed to be any different from normal dinner

Yeah it's like christmas dinner only instead of turkey it's steak pie, well it is here anyway :shrug:

Business as usual here. Stout and tuna.

New Years Day in a quite pub > NYE.

We don't do anything special for New Years dinner, just normal

Really? I thought everyone had a big meal on new years day.

We are going to the inlaws for dinner, drinks then fireworks then we let off sky lanterns in memory of those that are no longer with us.

That sounds awesome. NYD is underrated. Most people start feeling miserable then, I think it's awesome.

Josy, I love your lanterns idea.. that's really nice.

We go to my mums. We always have Christmas dinner at home, then Boxing Day dinner at my outlaws, and New Year's dinner at my mum & dad's house.

I thought everyone did special stuff for NYD too. :/

I'm not big on the whole midnight malarky though. My birthday is on Hogmanay, and I don't do anything fancy at midnight, but I like going out for my dinner on the 1st January.

Speaking of which, since I'm still sat here in my jammies, I should really go make myself presentable for leaving the house. LoL

Don't really bother with NYD, more of a NYE person. Always find NYD quite reflective, I like visiting family members/friends graves (weird I know) on that day but no chance today with the rain!

Me too, massive hangover...just got up and am wondering wether I can be bothered to get a take away as no food in the house. My friends want me to go down the pub again today but don't know if I can take anymore booze rraahh

We have KFC every year. :D

Grilled lamb loin chops, new potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, followed by sherry trifle, Yum!

With people going on about takeaways thoughts have popped up about a big **** off pizza hmmmm

Just about to have a steak with mashed potatoes, sugar snaps and pepper sauce yum

We tried doing the lanterns last night but it was too windy :bored:

Normally have new years dinner but was working, I think they had a roast dinner

We spend NYD in our local pub with friends/regulars/kids/family then my sis does new years day dinner of steak pie etc. I love NYD!

I feel like I've eaten loads today.. :/ Should really stop being a fatty now that the festive season is over lol

I have honestly had an alcoholic drink every day for the last 2 or 3 weeks and the amount of huge meals and ****e I have eaten is really quite disgusting!. Detox for me!
