Ice skating
 

I started doing this today for PE and I can't skate for ****. :laugh: it was my first time trying and I could not let go of the side. I kept loosing my balance. I must've looked like a right pleb. :joker:

Can any of you lot ice skate?

I can and I love it although I don't often get the chance to do it. :laugh:

Nah never tried it, hasn't really been the sort of thing that appeals to me although I'd quite like to be able to do it so that I could also give ice hockey a go

I haven't done it in a while, so I'll be wobbly on the ice. After an hour or so I can do it pretty okay, I'm not confident.

Done it a couple times at christmas' on a festive one. I used to be quite good.

But omg ice skating for PE made me laugh a little sorry.

Hey it's actually real good! You pay a tenner and the school give you a terms worth of sessions. It's better than doing PE in the school anyhow. It's waaaay more fun than anything they offer on-site (the pinnacle of which is that silly zoomba thing :conf2:).

You can wear your own clothes too, so.

I spent all of my younger years on roller boots and the first time I went ice skating, it seemed to come naturally. Not sure if the roller boot expertise helped or not but anyway, I hated it as I was cold and didn't think it was much fun!

Fair enough. I do team swimming. Which is like torture having to swim 2 miles in an hour 3 times a week.

But yea they offer zumba here as well but only for girls. This place is very sexist.

Used to go to the ice skating every Saturday and Sunday when I was a teenager only ever go once or twice a year now when I take my nieces and nephews.
