Fetch The Bolt Cutters 24-02-2020 09:57 PM

I’m about halfway through borderlands 3 atm

Is it just me or is every borderlands game practically identical :skull:

I am enjoying it but it feels like it could have been released about 10 years ago

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 24-02-2020 09:58 PM

Also there’s not enough claptrap

Mystic Mock 25-02-2020 11:17 AM

Clock Tower 3 - I've never played any other Clock Tower Games before, but I am enjoying this one.

I'm trying to rescue Dennis at the moment.

Mystic Mock 01-03-2020 04:54 AM

Shadow The Hedgehog - I loved this Game as a child, and I still love it now. It's story is obviously weaker than Clock Tower 3, but gameplay wise I think that I like Shadow more (although both are very good Games imo) I wish that both Games would get a re-release on the PSN, Switch, or one of the Handhelds, but sadly like a lot of Games from that generation you have to go through Emulators to be able to play these underappreciated classics.

I am however grateful to Emulators otherwise the only other way to play them is to buy a really expensive second hand PS2. Unless you're fortunate enough to have your original PS2 still working that is.

But going back to Shadow, I think that this type of Game suits his character, and hopefully there will a sequel in the works for the PS5 to shock us all.:fc:

I got Fire Emblem and FFXII for the Switch on sale. Never played a Fire Emblem game before (other than being a Marth/Lucina main for Smash Bros) so looking forward to it. I played through XII on PS2 but only once and I barely remember it.

Yeah my family has never tried the Fire Emblem games either, so I can't comment on if they're any good or not.

FFXII looked good when I saw my Brother play it a few years ago.

And after Shadow The Hedgehog I decided to play Cold Fear, the Game has/had a lot of potential to be a great Game as there's a nice amount of Action, the difficulty is reasonable (apart from the final boss) there's just enough Horror there for it to not feel like it's Horror in name only, and some of the locations look fantastic.

However I don't get how a Game like Cold Fear has such a wafer thin plot, I can get around the sometimes repetitive Gameplay, but not the story having less development than Super Mario Games ffs. I honestly don't expect every story to be fancy, but I would like a basic goal that makes sense as to why you're doing what you're doing, but Cold Fear only really establishes why you're on the Boat at the beginning of the Game really, and never really explains why Tom is still wandering around the ship by the final level.

Basically it's a good Game, but it needed a few tweaks to make it a great Game imo.

I'll be moving onto Yakuza 3 next which I won't be beating any time soon.:joker:

I've been juggling two Games over the last couple of days.

Yakuza 3 - Tbh I was very lukewarm to this Game after the first 4 chapters (although the end of Chapter 4 was strong I thought) but once we actually started to get away from the Orphanage and more into why most people actually play Yakuza Games for is when I've really been getting into the Game. I respect that Sega were trying to do something different with the Orphanage idea, but personally I'd have had some of the content as Substory content rather than being plonked into the main story mode. Chapters 5-9 have been fantastic though, having Majima, Date, and The Florist turn back up has been fantastic imo. And the Substories have been fantastic as usual for me.

Bound By Flame - I know that this Game gets unfavourably compared with the Dragon Age Games, but I've personally liked the bits that I've played of it so far, it looks like it's on a reasonably small budget, but I think that Spiders have done well considering I've never heard of the Studio before. They've got an interesting world that could be really fantastic with a bigger budgeted sequel imo. Also I already like Randval's character.

I've finally beaten Yakuza 3.

Tbf the Game wasn't actually that difficult, but I loved the Substories too much to actually just go ahead and beat the Game.:joker: The only real complaints from me was the over focus on the Orphanage stuff towards the beginning of the Game, and the annoying Haruka stuff in Chapter 10, other than that I really enjoyed the other aspects of the Game.

And Bound By Flame is surprisingly quite good imo, especially considering what Metacritic scores the Game. It's not perfect by any means (Sybil's quite dull, and the characters in general need a little bit more development) but considering it was on a small budget I do think that they've made most of the characters likeable or interesting when they are being used, they have a lead character with an actual personality unlike some stories, and most of the locations look visually interesting imo, almost like something out of The Witcher from what I've seen of that Game.

I'm a bit too hooked on Smash Bros Ultimate at the mo xD

Mystic Mock 16-03-2020 06:14 AM

I've just done the Pianta Village levels on Super Mario Sunshine.

Hopefully I can finally beat the Game.:fc:

Toy Soldier 19-03-2020 01:14 PM

I thought Resi 3 was out today but it's just a DEMO! :fist: what a scam. It's out like a week before FF7, what's the point in that :suspect:

Toy Soldier 19-03-2020 01:17 PM

That said I've been playing Fire Emblem constantly for about a week and I'm on part 1, chapter 9 so... it might never actually end.

Mystic Mock 27-03-2020 10:40 AM

Me and my Brother have been playing Dreams at the moment.

We both started off a bit rubbish, but my Brother has improved quite a bit on understanding how to make Video Games/levels. I'm still useless.:joker:

We both have played a few Games by other players, my personal favourite was Silent Hills by an account named Dr. Jones20, it was trippy, creepy, and funny all at the same time.:joker:

Overall I'm liking the concept for Dreams, it's just learning everything about it is the tough part for a Donald Trump (moronic) person like me.:joker:

SherzyK 27-03-2020 12:23 PM

Resident evil 4 :hehe:

LukeB 07-04-2020 09:33 PM

I'm finally playing Let's Go Pikachu

Barry. 07-04-2020 09:44 PM

I’m playing that atm and I said to Scott the other day, it’s not very realistic it’s meant to be set in Egypt and this guy has just said “By ‘eck here you are” and then he informed me the main character is called Bayek :skull:

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 24-04-2020 02:07 PM

Replaying the witcher 3 atm on blood and broken bones and finding it really easy (haven’t died once yet except for jumping off a wall by accident :skull:)

I would have perched deathmarch but i’m assuming you can die in one hit which would be annoying so yeah

The Slim Reaper 24-04-2020 02:14 PM

Replaying the dishonoured series again.

Yakuza 4.

Probably my 2nd favourite behind the second Game out of the franchise so far.

Hopefully Yakuza 5 will be just as good.

LukeB 03-05-2020 07:59 PM

Finally going to play Final Fantasy XV
