Is Gareth a "floater"?

Just read that he told Denise he didn't want to get involved in the fight, is not taking sides and is sitting on the fence. If BBUK has floaters I think he'd be the number 1 floater. And he's really really lame.

A term used in BBUSA, "floater" refers to someone who doesn't really do much of anything and avoids drama and getting a target on their back. They butt-kiss and go with the majority.

he's definitely a "floater" but he's also a really nice guy. I love Gareth. he is dull though and tries to please everyone.

Over here floater means a piece of sh*t which you can't flush away:idc:

no, he's not a piece of sheet if that's what you mean., "floater" in American terms means he floats from group to group without taking sides.

That's how it's used over here most of the time as well

It also means that as well over here, but I prefer my definition:idc: Seems to be coming true unfortunately as he's still in the house.

Yeah, they are on the side of whoever has power but because BBUK doesn't have power concentrated in one individual, a floater would probably be someone who is friends with everyone and doesn't do much to stir up the pot. The fact that Gareth was THE ONLY housemate to not get a nomination in the last nomination tells me that he's not really doing anything.

Gillian-73 23-01-2012 08:43 AM

Yes he is but he's also very likable from what i've seen!

It sounds like you think he's a floater no matter which definition you use. :joker:

karezza 23-01-2012 09:37 AM

He's a turd.

Beso 23-01-2012 09:40 AM

he's a child in a mans body, seriously does he have to get so bloody excited at every little thing..

SoBig 23-01-2012 09:51 AM

He is somewhat of a floater and he is also very annoying.

Apart from him being boring, I just don't trust the man judging from what I've seen and heard of him in there.:suspect:

Yep, he's a floater whichever way I look at it:joker:

Truth Teller 23-01-2012 04:09 PM

Have to say a bit disappointed by his lack of leadership. He captained Wales and the Lions and yet won't say anything in BB. Just floats around not having an opinion on anything.

A floater literally is a piece of **** that just won't flush, literally and figuratively.

lol

-makes a 'Gareth is a poo' joke and leaves-

waterhog 23-01-2012 05:42 PM

one nice and decent guy - my winner <

Lostie! 23-01-2012 05:57 PM

Why should he take sides if he genuinely gets on with them all? Every single person in that house loves him, why should he be forced to choose?

I'd take Gareth over the 10-faced twins anyday.

Mac Hiavellian 23-01-2012 07:06 PM

I don't think a winner necessarily has to get involved with fights, they just have to stand up for what they believe in like how he wanted to seperate the twins when he thought their fake fight was real. He hasn't been the most entertaining HM this series but he comes across as a nice guy who's up for the tasks and gels with all the othe HMs. I don't have a clear fave who I want to win but I wouldn;t mind Gareth winning for those reasons and he seems to have come more alive within the last week because of him trying to sort out the twins, his letter from home and how he was loving the task on last night's show
