I don't think that matters, she's unknown over there and I reckon he's going to need some really well known and popular judges like AI have, if he wants to compete with it

Lots of the viewers wanted Cheryl back when she was sacked and all the reviews preferred Cheryl to Nicole too so she might be a possibility. I wouldn't rule her out because her manager will.i.am wants her to have a career in the States and XFUSA is a great platform.

But it's not the viewers that he already has though, it's the ones that he wants, who probably haven't even watched it yet so wouldn't even know who Cheryl is

Remember all the way back when no one really knew who Paula,Simon, and Randy were? In the time of 3 seasons AI became the most watched show in America.
