The most unbearable fans?

Who, or what, has the most unbearable breed of music fans?

For me, it's hip-hop snobs. I never know where anything stands with them. And the majority of online fans who get involved in arguments about Tupac, or Biggie, or Eminem, or whatever, usually spill over with homophobia and racism. It's a very bleak world.

King Gizzard 05-02-2012 12:19 AM

hipsters.

Locke. 05-02-2012 12:21 AM

Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and One Direction's.

Ramsay 05-02-2012 12:23 AM

hardcore heavy metal fans, gaga fans, hipsters, one direction fans off the top of my head

Shaun 05-02-2012 12:24 AM

oh and, I'm sorry Chuck, but Brazilian pop fans.

I can't go on last.fm for longer than 10 minutes because of them. They have like 20,000 Jessica Simpson plays and troll the **** out of each other

1) Stans of any artist/group (usually extremely young, ignorant little girls) that direct disgusting abuse, such as death threats, at the reported partners of their idols. They're usually deluded, thinking that one day, for example, they will actually suck Justin Bieber's cock. They often let down the more mature fans of such artists.

2) People who buy into music stereotyping, i.e that if you're a guy and you like a popular female act, like One Direction or JLS, then you're automatically gay. So immature. That leads into...

3) Music snobbery. People who look down on others music tastes for whatever reason. Like what you want to like...and leave others to their own devices.

Probably hasn't answered the question properly thinking about it (apart from #1), but oh well.

Samuel. 05-02-2012 12:27 AM

Definitely old school hip hop elitists.

And on the other end of the spectrum, Lil Wayne fans.

King Gizzard 05-02-2012 12:28 AM

and all these metal fans that have turned into dubstep/dnb fans ..or just dubstep/dnb fans altogether

lostalex 05-02-2012 12:30 AM

Mariah Carey fans, no hesitation.

Firewire 05-02-2012 12:35 AM

Justin Bieber fans when they attack if you give an honest opinion.

to be fair, beiber doesn't really have fans, he just has hoards of carrot ****ing pre-teens. i don't think they can really be called fans, they are literally just carrot-****ers.

Samuel. 05-02-2012 12:43 AM

Don't blame Bieber fans for being defensive when Biebs gets a ridiculous amount of unnecessary hate.

King Gizzard 05-02-2012 12:44 AM

Nah, just the hipster teenagers who think Skrillex is god's gift to earth

Roy Mars III 05-02-2012 12:44 AM

Yeah, he doesn't deserve half of the hate he gets.

He was actually pretty good when he was a kid, musically

Roy Mars III 05-02-2012 12:44 AM

Insane Clown Posse. I work with one :bored:

Shaun 05-02-2012 12:45 AM

I don't really understand why people over here get so riled up about him - he's virtually a nobody over here :conf2: There're far worse musicians worthy of being Public Enemy No. 1.

...will.i.am...

Yeah, I agree with this.

Another one to add to my list - those who direct vile, unnecessary abuse at artists they don't like on sites like Twitter. Grow up.

not really...he sounded like a pre-puscent boy...most pre-puescent boys can sing like a girl, wasn't exactly revolutionary...

he got popular because USHER turned him into a "heart-throb" for little girls... Disney does the same thing... it's not special...

The only thing interesting about him is that his mother was a crack-***** that abandoned him... but eminem already did that in a much more interesting way...

Fans who refuse to say anything bad about the people they support annoy me a bit. Like with Mark Owen having loads of affairs, someone actually said to me once something along the lines of 'Oh he wouldn't have cheated if his wife had treated him better' :S

Z 05-02-2012 12:17 PM

I think all "stan" culture in pop music, and by that I mean the people who make their lives all about a musician and will argue about them until the cows come home. It's not one specific artist but rather that whole way of life, I just don't understand it. Like people who feel the need to put down another artist (or more specifically, fans of that artist) while bigging up their favourite - what does that achieve? It just makes people who aren't concerned with such things look negatively upon you the fans and the artists too by proxy. It's mostly pop music that does this. It's stupid.

Iceman 05-02-2012 12:19 PM

Hardcore Eminem fans, like the ones that set up the movement to 'Take A Stand'. Sit down you're being ridiculous.
