Surviving Hogwarts - Contestants Common Room - FINAL @ 7PM
 

Hello and Welcome to the main discussion thread for the first season of Harry Potter: Surviving Hogwarts. (Yes i hope to make more). The game will see 12 contestants take on tasks and challenges to survive the fate of death, and leave Hogwarts alive.

Since the battle between Lord Voldemort and Dumbledore's Army finished 14 years ago, Hogwarts has since become a safe haven once again with pupils returning each year. However, something is brewing. Unfinished business is about to arise as the new year starts at Hogwarts. Pupils are no longer safe..

12 Contestants are split into their respective Houses. As soon as they are split the first task is set. The teams race to complete the task first and whoever does will win immunity from elimination. If all teams pass the task, the winning team must then choose two people from the other three teams to face elimination.

If the teams fail the task, one member from each House will be placed up for elimination. This continues until there are only four people left in the game for the final.

Tasks will be set after the eliminations. Some individuals will be set secret tasks ect. All tasks will be based on the Harry Potter series, as well as the individual tasks. Other things will be happening but i want to keep these secret until the game is underway.


Once a task is over, whichever team passed the task first (if it's a individual task) will automatically be immune from elimination. Everyone will then be required to nominate two people from the other three teams for Elimination. Once all of the nominations have been received, voting will open to eliminate the contestant you want to see out of the game.

Contestants will be required to send the name of the contestant they would like to see eliminated. There will also be a public vote which will count for the votes. The contestant with the most votes to eliminate will then leave the Game.

I'm working on all of your wizard tasks ect at the moment. It's looking good so far :)

Do you just allocate people to houses randomly?

I assume you're a Harry Potter maniac to run this game properly :suspect:

House Allocation is based on your application and your forum behaviour ect. And No.. I'm not Harry Potter mad at all... :P

Bit silly then running a game on it if you don't know much about the series. :crazy:

You really should say how it's going to work.
What if I apply, and then you reveal the format and I'm like 'meh and drop out? :(

I was being sarcastic. I love Harry Potter. Else i wouldn't be running this game.

How do you sort people into houses?

The successful applicants are sorted into the Houses by their application form and the way they act on a regular basis around the forum. From the people who have applied already, i have a fair idea where they are.
