What does Windows 8 even do I can't be bothered to find out because every time I google it it gives me all this tech stuff which I don't understand.

If you were looking at all logos, and the 8 bit wasn't included in that logo, you would say that's microsofts first ever logo :crazy:

It's the new operating system upgrade like, Windows 7 was to vista, I don't think much has been said about it yet though

Ah it looks like it's a while away yet, it's not worth waiting for it. If I want it that badly I can upgrade my laptop to it I thinj.

I've seen that screen before with the weird squares with like IE and stuff. I don't know if I like it. Chrome > IE. I hate IE so much I removed it completely by going into the system files when I got my laptop in Christmas 2010 haha.

Would this stop you completely from having non windows stuff on your computer?

I cracked it! found out how to get rid of it, and did! (simple uninstall then restart)

I'm still on Vista :(

Going to get a new laptop soon, think I would rather have 7 again then 8.

I like the look of Windows 8 tbh. The new Metro-fied start menu is gorgeous. :lovedup:

But Mountain Lion (the new version of OS X) has the edge in its cohesiveness. Windows 8 looks disjointed atm.
