Are you excited for "The Voice"?

Not that much hype about it and apparently it starts next month

I dont see much point since we got TXF and it pretty much finds the same thing but Im looking forward to Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue's input.

Shaun 25-02-2012 12:55 PM

Nope. Script guy, Jessie J and will.i.am.? No ty.

CharlieO 25-02-2012 12:56 PM

I have seen a couple of episodes of american one whilst I was back in Sing over the half term break. Pretty much the same as AI and XF but I liked how the singers got to choose their mentor.

Black Dagger 25-02-2012 01:00 PM

If it didn't have Jessie J and Will I'd be excited.

But meh, I'l watch it to see it.

Locke. 25-02-2012 01:18 PM

More so than X Factor.

I like Jessie anyway, and Will.i.am & the Script guy should be alright. Not too bothered about Tom, but they need someone on there that's got all the experience.

Patrick 25-02-2012 01:41 PM

No. :bored:

It will either be like Got To Dance or something and fail, or more likely - it'll just be abused in the UK and the good singers won't go anywhere, whilst the winner is decided by a group of shallow bastards and then we'll have to endure more sh*tty pop acts thanks to ******ing Talentless shows like these and The X Factor.

The X Factor is bad enough and just as we're beginning to get rid of that, they bring on a new show to ruin the music industry further?
It's sickening.

King Gizzard 25-02-2012 01:41 PM

Couldn't care less really

joeysteele 25-02-2012 01:45 PM

I will watch it but not that fussed really. I may be pleasantly surprised how good it is once it's on though.

Marc 25-02-2012 02:32 PM

'I'll tune in but not that fussed. '

Big Brother started this horrible trend for overnight celebs.

BBfanUSA 25-02-2012 04:33 PM

I'm surprised there's hardly any fuss for this show.

The American Version is beating American Idol in the ratings over here.

And The first season winner over here wasn't a "pop" act.

This Season on the american version, I don't think there's been a joke act, and there's about 10 people that can win this show this year.

(PS I'm excited Hopefully the show will air on BBC America, but I haven't seen any ads for it)

Doogle 25-02-2012 04:55 PM

I love stuff like this so yeah, very much so. :amazed:

Jordan. 25-02-2012 05:53 PM

Not really. All I know about it is whos judging.

Locke. 25-02-2012 05:55 PM

I watched clips of the american version on youtube the other week, it's good. The guy that won it over there was great

and there's a good chunk of people who are better than him this year over here

I resent that comment - it's one of Sky's biggest shows, it's outlived its terrestrial rival So You Think You Can Dance, and its first winner has made something of a career out of it :p

The Voice hype is beginning now - the press launch was on Friday so news will begin to appear in the next few weeks, and BBC One has begun airing teaser trailers:

Very much looking forward to it - I was in the audience for some of the blind auditions and was pleasantly surprised by how the coaches came across. Even will.i.am was quite entertaining, although I'd rather someone else was in his seat seeing as his recent music has been terrible

"I'll tune in but I'm not so fussed"

couldnt agree more
though i picked the wrong option :@

Callum 25-02-2012 10:21 PM

Not fussed. Bored of singing competitions.

This.

All the acts shouldbe good singers so I'm looking forward to it. I'm sick of the X-Factor mediocrity.

GypsyGoth 25-02-2012 10:34 PM

I'm not that pushed about it. I'll try and catch the first ep. A singer I like was in the US version, and I didn't know until it ended (she came 2nd) anyway if I had have known she was in that I would have watched the whole series.

BBfanUSA 25-02-2012 11:45 PM

The only thing i have a problem with is how they decide a winner.

Instead of eliminating just one or two acts every episode, it's three or four during live shows.

and all coaches have an act in the final

But in the final the final 4 each sings a new song they written with the help of the coach(basically winner's single) and a duet with thier coach. Then on the results show they sing with a different singer.

and Matt are you BBSpy on twitter?

Princess 26-02-2012 12:07 AM

Not really fussed, I never seem to watch talent shows on BBC for some reason.

Harry! 27-02-2012 07:55 PM

Not really, don't really care about it tbh. If only Lene from dk came on the UK version then I might.
