What did you study at Uni?

Following on from Ben's thread about first years at University.

What did everybody study?/what are you studying currently?

For those who haven't been to University yet and want to in the future, what do you think you'll study?

Those who are no where near that point in their life, what subjects do you mostly prefer at School?

History degree and History (and history of religion) masters.

I plan to do a PhD at some point in my life, too, but that will probably be when I'm older and my mortgage is all paid off and I have small living expenses.

Livia 29-02-2012 12:31 PM

My degree's in law. I'm hoping to go back to education and take the Bar Professional Training Course this year.

Ahhh right. I've been meaning to ask you... I have a friend who teaches law at UEA, I wondered if that's what you were studying.

Kizzy 29-02-2012 02:35 PM

Ah thats good marc, now lemme think um ...i referred to durkhiem and the rise in anomic suicide due to social isolation, the failure of the 'city in the sky'(T Dan Smith) The defects of prefabricated housing inspired by Le Corbusier (quarry hill flats RAH Livett)
And the challeges faced in planning due to the SBD (secure by design) planning restrictions...In fact can i write it im bored? haha

Oh and mention 'garden cities' I grew up in Lampton a brand new village in washington we were one of the first to move in it was late 70s, it was an amazing place to live, nothing like the council estate i live in now :(
