Making new online frienships that fizzle out

Does this happen to anyone else?

I've had quite a few online newly made friendships where I think we're close, but we just start talking less for some reason. For me the closeness can last from like a week to a year and then we gravitate away... with a couple it never happens though.

Happens online just like in real life

I never make close friendships online cos its people I have never seen nor met. Plus they could be fat old paedos for all I know so I doesnt give a fak.

Well, its never a good idea to get too close to people you dont know personally is it? However presuming everyone online is a nutter is wrong too...I think there are always warning signs and if you are unsure then break ties :)

I just try to be friendly with everyone I come in contact with, whether that be online or in person in life,I just accept people as they are, you never know how busy people are or what other demands they have in life so I am there when they want to talk to me.

I used to think it inadvisable or not likely possible to make what you would call friends online without meeting the person but there are so many people on here,in this forum that I really like and would genuinely miss that I have kicked that view into touch now and one person here I would certainly call a friend now anyway.

I also do agree with InOne, people come and go just as in person with you too.
I would still keep the doors of friendship and/or contact open for anyone I had come to know or been in contact with though.

It happens, people come and go. I drift in and out from people all the time, not because I don't like them any longer, but because our interests alter. At some point we gravitate back to each other usually. Although, for most of the people on here I have made friends with I'll be drifting away for good soon. It sends a sadness through me, but it happens and I'll have to move on.

Not to sound corny here but I think I can trust most of you on here, obviously I still won't give many personal details away incase there is a psycho amongst us but this is the only forum where i've told people about my Niece and Nephew etc as I know I can trust you all.

I probably posted like a twat there.:joker:

Think the last time I spoke to Lauren was when Sunderland wanted to sign David Ngog from us about 2 years ago
