i know it sounds petty to mention, but the media did try to make it a quote "white" and "black" thing, but clearly this guy is not white. Why were so they so willing to talk about the race issue when they thought he was white, but then when they saw the shooter was hispanic, they arn't discussing HISPANIC racism against blacks?? especially considering historically the vast majority of slavery occurred in HISPANIC countries. So you can't say that there isn't a a historical context there.

I found that very disturbing about the American Media, that they will only talk about racism where it's a white aggressor, but to talk about racism when it's a non-white aggressor? then they don't talk about race anymore.
Since when is Hispanic a race? You've even said several times on this forum that its not. You are better than that man.

Hispanic is not a racist.

i was referring to the media. The Media considers it to be a race. havn't you noticed?

I guess it's only a race when we are talking about immigration then.... lol

I've always blamed it on the media, so don't act like i'm changing my view. I've always said it's the media that tries to create this new magical race called "latino".

These people that I'm going to post are Hispanic. Do they look the same to you? Then how can you say he looks or doesn't look hispanic?

Exactly why Latino is not a race. Something i've always said, and why i pointed out how weird it was that the US media stopped calling him "white" once they learned he was latino.

well my last name is Fieldman, you know why? cause my Dad's family thought Feldman sounded too jewish when they immigrated to America, but actually i do have some jewish ancestry livia. Actually my dad's side of the family is ve4y devided srtill to this day because half of the family (my side) wanted to conform to America and go christian, and the other side insisted on being jewish, it was a huge issue in my dad's family. It literally tore the family apart. But i was raised catholic. I don't consider myself jewish at all, but i do have jewish ancestry.

Its just crazy how people try to turn some things into a race. A language, (Hispanic) and a religion (Jewish). So why aren't people that Speak English in their own group or people that are catholic?

OKay i edited out the pic, i just wanted to show you that i have very "latino" features whatever that means and i "pass" for latino here in california which is fine by me. , and i get mistaken for every race, i'm certainly no WASP'y racist, that's all i meant to prove.

I always thought the races were Caucasian, Mongoliod, Negroid and one or two others like Aboriginee etc

Indian, European and Hispanic are all caucasians AFAIK

umm, i think we are, i believe latinos call us "gringos", which i find incredibly offensive, "gringo" is basically the same as saying "spic". But they do have a word for it sobig, it's a very offensive word.

australian aborigines are negroid. Native American Indian are mongoloid.

You are right.

those are the only REAL 3 races. (but we are all mixed race now, no one is purely any one race)

Even that sounds flawed. How can anyone say that Indians and white people are the same race? And how are Native Americans and Chinese the same race? Those groups don't even lookalike.
