It was direct advice from Francis maude however it was David Cameron who caused the stampede to the pumps....hmmm .
Im surprised there haven't been more incidents like this to be honest.....

Don't think you can hold anyone accountable for this really, it was daft doing it in the first place, especially in a kitchen

Pouring petrol in a kitchen with a gas fire oven on is not something an intelligent person would do.

Neither is trying to light farts...but we all know someone who has done it.....

I've never met anyone who has done that.

And I hardly think it's the same as pouring petrol into a jug near an open flame.

Although the wider point, is this would never of happened had there not been a fuel panic.

Listening to the firefighters report he suggests even using a mobile phones around petrol was dangerous..Anyone know that?...i didn't
I have seen people on phones while filling their car.

That is common knowledge surely? The signs at petrol stations even ask you to not use your mobile phones.
