Doing the rounds on twitter, wasn't a massive fan on the pitch but off it he's a great guy great club captain :(

Poor guy:(, hope he gets well soon and the love of his loved ones will keep him strong.

He has always had a fantastic attitude on the pitch and is a fighter!

Footballers are having a terrible time of it these past few weeks

Hope he makes a full recovery.

I didn't really know alot about leaukemia so I just researched it, not high survival rates in the long term :( the type he's got 40% of people live over 5 years :( feel so bad for his wife and son

Apparently it could be something to do with Chernobyl..radiation poisoning when he's younger

I think he can be cured yes

I didn't realise he shared his birthday with me. :p

Just an update

He is in remission after chemo. Will now take medication for two years. His contract is up at the end of the season but he'll probably get a coach or ambassadorial role. He looks so bad :/ Feel for the guy. But think he will be OK
