Britain's Got Talent Hopeful In Trouble With The Voice(Ireland)

He may have impressed the judges on Britain's Got Talent on Saturday night with his performance of 'No Name', but Ryan O'Shaughnessy has also got himself in trouble with the The Voice.

According to the Irish Sun, Ryan's BGT audition angered The Voice producers as they were unaware that the teen - who also featured on The Voice of Ireland - was going to try his luck on the rival show.

Speaking about Ryan's appearance on BGT, the CEO of the production company which produces The Voice of Ireland, said:

"We weren't aware of anything about Britain's Got Talent until the day of the first live shows.

"I'm sure that they must have been just as p***ed off as us when they found out about it. Ryan had signed our contract first and we told him he was obliged to sing with us, even though he had progressed in Britain's Got Talent."

"[The Voice of Ireland coach] Brian [Kennedy] knew nothing about anything that was going on with BGT and, if he had chosen to keep Ryan in, he would've had to continue with us or face legal consequences."

He's also been in a popular Irish Soap as well. I'm a bit sceptical about his sob story tbh but he's obviously a go getter

They just moaning that he's found fame on BGT instead of Irish TV?

Marc 04-04-2012 02:45 PM

TV = The Voice.. might be confusing.. should really think of something different :suspect:

He was really good on BGT, sounds like a bit of sour grapes to me,why shouldn't he try as many as possible to fulfil his hopes and dreams.
Good luck to him and his song was really rather good as well that he wrote himself, something very rare to find on these talent shows, someone who can actually write their own songs.

Exactly, they didn't even pick him anyway so I don't know why that idiot Brian Kennedy is making a fuss about it, you would think after kicking him off his team, that he'd be happy that he got a break some where else instead.

How unprofessional. How can this buffoon be a CEO and use language like this in an interview
