No meat on Good Friday

It's tradition on Good Friday to not eat any meat apart from usually Fish. Will you be taking part in this? Or will you be burning in hell?

It's different for me, it's Passover on Saturday. I have a whole different set of rules! However, I will still be eating Easter Eggs. And I will probably burn in hell but not because of anything I've eaten........ I hear they have better parties down there anyway.

GypsyGoth 05-04-2012 07:38 PM

Ahhh yes, so what is it they actually do at Passover? Is that to do with Moses and manna bread?

It's complicated LOL... But in a nutshell... The Jews were slaves in Egypt for hundreds of years and God sent plagues to the Egyptians to encourage them to set them free. When that didn't work he sent the Angel of Death to kill all their first-borns. He told the Jews to slaughter a lamb and douse the blood on their doorsteps so that the Angel would know to "pass over" their house. The Egyptians started to take it seriously and the Jews were off to Israel where they all lived happily and peacefully ever after. Oh, no... hang on a minute...

And yes, it was Moses who led them out.

Yes... and Moses did his parting the Red Sea trick. He was kind of a holy David Blaine.

No one's going to tell you what to eat if you don't want to. You can spend your dinner money on whatever you like.
