What do you have on your Sunday roast dinner?

;)

Bollo 08-04-2012 10:42 PM

Depends on the dinner..

Chicken - Gravy and / or bread sauce
Beef - Mustard / Horseradish
Turkey - Bread Sauce, cranberry Jelly
Lamb - Mint Sauce
Pork - Apple Sauce

Boothy 08-04-2012 10:44 PM

Gravy. Gotta be thick though. You can eat the gravy I make with a fork

Black Dagger 08-04-2012 10:45 PM

I rarely have Sunday Dinner.

But it'd be Gravy.

Maia 08-04-2012 10:46 PM

Gravy

Dunno how you could cover a roast dinner with mint sauce :suspect:

bbfan1991 08-04-2012 10:46 PM

I only have Mint Sauce, don't like Gravy at all:).

Smithy 08-04-2012 10:47 PM

Gravy

Shaun 08-04-2012 10:48 PM

GypsyGoth 08-04-2012 10:49 PM

Do you not have anything at all?

That's gotta be drier than a popcorn fart.

Mrluvaluva 08-04-2012 11:08 PM

Gravy mainly, but I like mint sauce on lamb.

Jords 09-04-2012 12:43 AM

I like apple and cranberry sauces, if I'm having pork/turkey, but otherwise dry  I don't mind gravy really, my mum just makes really gross gravy.

MTVN 09-04-2012 04:19 AM

Mint sauce is horrible stuff, like to flood my dinner with gravy

Locke. 09-04-2012 04:21 AM

Must be something wrong with Vicky

Jesus. 09-04-2012 09:05 AM

I like my roast potatoes dryish, with just enough gravy to cover the meat and vegetables.

I do love mustard with beef, and loads of pepper and mint sauce with lamb.

My ma makes ridiculously good gravy, and I remember Sunday evening supper was always a plate of left over gravy with some fresh crusty bread.

depnds on the type of roast

Beef - gravy and lots of it but homemade preferred

Lamb: mint or rosemary sauce

Pork: apple or dijon

Omah 09-04-2012 12:59 PM

What Sunday roast dinner?

I had chicken tikka masala with garlic and coriander naan yesterday and I'm having chicken tikka masala with cous-cous today .....

Depends on who is cooking!

If it's me, then Instant gravy for beef, bottled mint sauce for Lamb! Cos there is more to life than trying to be a Masterchef!

My fave meal? Egg and chips!

Seriously I do love cooking, but there is sooo much snobbery attached to it these days.

InOne 09-04-2012 09:39 PM

Mint Sauce. Can't be doing with that common working class gravy nonsense.

Niall 09-04-2012 09:52 PM

Gravy, obviously. It goes hand in hand with roast dinners.

Mint sauce is disgusting. :bored:
