There was this King Arthur Book that I used to read all the time in Year 6 but I can't think who wrote the particular version I read. There's also another book I'm desperately trying to remember, It was about this boy who had a mother called Pumpkin and basically one night he runs off to this city and joins up with a group of children who are led by an older kid who called himself the King of...something I think. It's really annoying me.

How about Treasure Island? I used to love it as a kid! :)

I only ever remember reading Roald Dahl books

Can anyone remember The Family From One End Street? I loved that book.
Also all of Beatrix Potter's books and AA Milne.

Enid Blyton's Famous Five.

Indian in the cupboard I used to love that one marc and when I got a bit older the sliver sword
And of course all the old enid blyton roald dahl jaquilien Wilson etc etc

I think I preferred Roald Dahl's later stuff
