Boris Re-elected As The Mayor Of London

JOHNSON - 1,054,811 - 51.53%
LIVINGSTONE - 992,273 - 48.47%

Boris's last words were "May the 4th be with you"

But urgh no chance of EMA this means :(

Brian Paddick only got around 91,000 votes, behind the Green Party :laugh:

I'd really hoped we'd have someone who looked reasonably intelligent representing London for the Olympics, but sadly, no.

MTVN 04-05-2012 11:06 PM

Meh I'm no Boris fan but I'm not sorry Ken didn't get back into power, there wasn't much in it at all though in terms of votes

Kizzy 04-05-2012 11:09 PM

Ooh close!....cue arista...lol

Harry! 04-05-2012 11:09 PM

I am happy that Boris has been elected, Conservative Fan and I have been a fan of his. It would be quite funny to see him represent London at the Olympics!

Ken Livingstone: "This is the defeat that I most regret"

Jack_ 04-05-2012 11:12 PM

Only Boris could end a speech with 'May the fourth be with you' :joker:

Piers Morgan has tweeted saying he thinks Boris will replace Cameron as Tory leader in a year. Now that'd be amusing.

GypsyGoth 04-05-2012 11:13 PM

Boris is way more fun :D

Well they've decided to cut the coverage...cause we really want to hear them interviewing the same people they have been all day while we've been waiting for the bloody result.

I was waiting to start spouting some bile when the BNP candidate came on.

Urghh what a pisstake ==

joeysteele 04-05-2012 11:17 PM

A much closer battle than was first expected, very close indeed but I am glad Boris won this time again.
He at least brings some fun into politics and I believe he has ambitions to lead the Conservative party and so David Cameron, should he do badly from now on will I think find his greatest adversary is from his own party.
