Tweaks you would make to the show
 

What tweaks would you make to the show? Think it's safe to say The Voice is still in it's tweaking period, and the show will be looking to improve things as the season goes on, but if you was in charge, what would you change to the current/next years show format?

For me, i'd introduce another woman as a coach, this might sound shallow, but we need a bit more totty on there! I'd probably replace Tom, i really like Tom and actually want him to do well but i think he struggles articulating what he feels and that often leads to some awkward moments. I think someone slightly more entertaining and current will help keep the show fresh and enjoyable.

I actually had a few more thoughts for some changes but i've gone completely blank! Anyway will post later if i remember.

Make the results shows live and make the song choices more contemporary. I like that they're opting for less well known songs and I wouldn't want them to stop doing that but it would be nice for them to have at least one or two current chart hits to balance it out a bit. Also, the coaches should be more honest. Ruth-Ann was so pitchy but none of the coaches pointed it out, they don't have to be nasty like they are on X-Factor but they should give their honest opinions when someone doesn't deliver or has issues with pitch instead of giving the acts false hope.

this in particular would be a vast improvement.

Nothing really, I like everything about it. Plus bringing in judges for "totty" would cheapen a show that I think is above that. It's got good singers, good and qualified coaches (regardless of their sex) and effort being put into the acts. It may not have the drama that X Factor has but that's what I actually like about it.

I mean, the whole team aspect is needed for the show, that is it's gimmick.

But the fact Jessie's team was so awful and Danny's were so amazing and we had to lose one was an awful part of the show :sad:

A live results show, a bigger less cheesy stage. I'd leave the format of the show but throw a bit of money at it.

The tweak I would make is to make sure there are no male singers that sound like a cat that's had its tail trodden on......which for some strange mad reason is regarded as talent.....

To be honest I find the show a great let down. Too much of the same weird songs being yelled across the stage in a demented way to draw attention to themselves for all the wrong reasons.

Most of the singers I fast forward rewind and just listen to the sloppy wast of time comments coming from the judges who seem to be drunk on supporting the ones with the least talent and least personality.....I spend about 15 minutes of actual viewing mostly out of curiosity to see which bad decisions the judges make and then pretend to look upset.....Cringeworthy stuff

I don't like the X factor because of its rigged drama among contestants however I don't think the UK Voice will last more than a couple of series if they don't have more traditional singers and songs that most people enjoy rather than the weird stuff that is being chosen at present...

okay, I live in America where the show is sucessful. Maybe they should look at the US version to see why it works.

(but have the battle round last one entire weekend is a great decision, it has killed the american version because they drag it out)

I'd give them all a pet ferret each to look after during the show

That would guarantee a 10m boost in ratings

this is what I mean. The American Version knows what's it doing. This is how the results should be announced. (even though I would've preferred them announcing 4th and 3rd through the results show)
