Chelsee Healey quits Waterloo Road!

Waterloo Road star Chelsee Healey is leaving the BBC drama, Digital Spy can confirm.

As rumoured, the actress's character Janeece Bryant will bow out in the show's next series, which begins in the autumn.

Healey will appear in a substantial number of episodes in series eight before her departure. Although Janeece will not be killed off, show bosses have promised an "emotional" send-off for the school secretary.

Speaking of her exit, Healey commented: "Waterloo Road and playing Janeece has been a part of my life for six years and I'll be sad to leave the show.

"Working with the cast and crew has been the best time of my life. I'll miss it so much, but I can promise fans my exit will be unmissable - but my lips are sealed!"

Waterloo Road's executive producer Cameron Roach added: "Chelsee's journey with Waterloo Road comes to an end this autumn as we say farewell to Janeece Bryant.

"It's been an incredible experience watching Janeece grow from being a pupil to the school secretary, and we're currently shooting an emotional and engaging departure storyline which we're extremely excited about."

They ruined her character when she returned, she was a star and one of the greatest characters, a legend - as a pupil. Don't care much for her now though.

And I bet her exit isn't even that good. :bored:

Who even cares anymore, as Patrick said they killed what was once a brilliant character. I don't want to see her mature. This show is actually tragic now.

Noo! D: NOT JANEECE! She's actually my favorite character left out of the Rochdale lot. I don't think it'll be the same moving to Scotland. It doesn't seem realistic enough.

I don't get how a School can suddenly close and re-open hundreds of miles away.

No, Chalky has been seen filming in the new Scotland location. Some characters are injured though.

One thing Waterloo Road hasn't been since Series 3, is realistic.

Although I don't get how they're going to call the school 'Waterloo Road' considering it's not.. at 'Waterloo Road' now?

No it's actually set IN Scotland. The end of the last series they closed down the Rochdale school and moved up. They're getting new cast members ect but some of the old ones are still in:
