Since the 'song' contests were getting a little tired, and because Niamh suggested it to me prior to the failure of the 1960s song contest, I thought I'd give this a try :D

Now, the format is much the same: I've preselected 80 movies, released between January 1 2000 and December 31 2009, that have featured heavily in critics' best-of-the-decade lists (for example, Empire, IMDb, Roger Ebert). I've done this to get a fair list of films that many people might have overlooked, and assuming the film press know what they're talking about, it's a list of 80 very good films indeed.

However, as oligarchic as I may be, there will be another 80 movies suggested (and supported) by TiBB members.

TiBB members are able to suggest FIFTEEN movies.

However, they are also allowed to support FIFTEEN movies suggested by other members.

Once a movie has been suggested and supported twice it will qualify for the competition.

Here are the 80 films that are already in the competition - please don't suggest these. As a rule of thumb, if you press CTRL+F you'll be able to search the page for your suggestions, to avoid confusion. I also ask that you provide the year in which the film was released to theatres, so as to make sure no end-of-the-90s or start-of-the-2010s movies sneak in :D
