(BB6) What was the hype over Kaysar... and Janelle?
 

Maybe it's because I'm usually against the fan favorites but after watching BB6, I haven't warmed up to them. I'm currently watching BB7 so PLEASE NO SPOILERS!

I kinda like Janelle but not as much as Rachel Reilly, and she did deserve to win BB6. Kaysar on the other had, he evicted Eric, good, but what else? And so what Jen evicted him? It was what he likes, a game changing move.

So those of you who did watch BB6, why were these two so popular?

On another note, I liked James. Hate the back-door thing, glad they changed the Veto player selection process. And hate Howie. He acts like he's slow.

to be honest, I always found them both to be overrated

i think everyone just hated the nerd herd, so anyone that stood up to maggie, april, and cappy was loved by the public. i hated the nerd herd and i remember watching that season live, i just hated them, so kaysar and janelle and howie standing up to them was great.

don't think I ever dislike any housemates as much as that nerd herd group. Eric and Maggie mainly

It was Yvette I had issues with. Eric thought he ruled the place. I was iffy with April but preferred her over Maggie. Maggie really didn't offend me though haha.

A dead fly had more personality then Maggie did.

janelle is a fierce bitch and deserves all the love... but kaysar? never saw what so special about him.

Seriously, Janelle reminds me EXACTLY of a girl I know who has incredible amounts of charm. The difference between her and Janelle is that Janelle actually has very little personality behind the charm. She's the caricature of a money grabbing skank and people buy into her due to her "allure".

I remember reading something Michael (her showmance) wrote after they broke up where he asked something along the lines of "If you could anything in the world, what would it be?" and she responded with "money" He asked "What if you had all the money in the world?" she had no response except that all she wanted was money. Oh, not to mention trying to physically attack Beau at one point and cheating on her boyfriend, but y'know she wins loads of competitions and calls people bitches!!!!1

As for Kaysar I don't mind him, but he's not as smart and doesn't seem as interesting as people make him out to be.

well it's actually a pretty intelligent answer, money is access to everything. Money is security, and safety and oppurtunity.Why choose something specific when you could just have money that gives you freedom and access to anything and everything?

I don't know why you think that was a dumb answer.

I don't have too much of a problem if that's her priority in life, it's more the fact she couldn't think of anything when asked if she had all the money in the world.

I dont know I remember watching that season live and loving Janelle and Kaysar, but when I watched it back I couldn't remember why. Oh and you just reminded me that BBUS hasn't had a rule change sincE season 7 when the veto players started to be chosen at random. I remember I used to be so excited on premiere night to see if and what the new rule would be.

Janelle definitely didn't deserve to win BB6. As much as people like her, she's really not a good player at all.

And it's scary to think that Rachel Reilly still has fans :shocked:

she was an amazing player especially at comps, but also at choosing partners. If Jen hadn't have LIED to Kaysars face, things would have gone very differently.

She was a good competitor but she wasn't a good player. Strategically, she sucked. Jen was playing the game so you can't even blame her for any of it. They got outplayed, Kaysar was a fool for believing her in the first place to be honest. The fact that people have to use that as an excuse shows how bad the Sovs were at playing the game. Most people in BB6 were pretty bad at playing the game, Maggie definitely deserved her win.

The Sovereign Six were awful players, especially Janelle, Kaysar, and Howie. I hate the Friendship as much as everyone else in the world, but they played much better, and Maggie was a very deserving winner. I think Janelle represents what a lot of people aspire to in life: beauty, confidence, popularity... and that could have made her very unpopular, but because she was so vocal and ballsy about her contempt for the despised Friendship, it worked in her favor.

Howie looks like a burn victim. Can't stand him -_-

Anyway, why were the Nerd Herd so hated anyway? As I said earlier, only Eric and Ivette bothered me. They both had a false sense of entitlement.

James was a really good player though, stupid backdoor.

They wouldn't have been as lovable if the Friendship hadn't been so easy to hate. They were so stuck up and arrogant that anyone who opposed them was going to be loved.

Kaysar is a smart guy, but he is not a very good BB player. He made two huge mistakes the both times he played. Giving up the HOH to Jen when there was a clear divide in the house and not going after Will when he made it very clear that he was going after him. Janelle is very much like Ozzy from Survivor. The very best at dominating competitions, but sucks on the strategic level. The difference between Rachel and Janelle. Rachel can be strategic at times and Janelle isn't capable of that. She can be very easily manipulated.

In terms of gameplay I think the only decisive difference between the games Janelle and Rachel played is that Janelle played 6 years ago. The show wasn't manipulated back then as much as it is now. If that season took place today there's no way anyone from the friendship would have had any chance of winning. By the same token, if seasons like BB11 and BB13 had taken place back when BB6 took place, there's a very probable chance that Natalie or Kevin would've won BB11, and that Porsche or Kalia would've won BB13.

Spot on. Isn't it funny how in seasons 2-7 three of the winners (Jun, Maggie, Boogie) were hated, but since season 8 it's been mostly fan-favorites winning (Dick, Dan, Jordan, Rachel).
