At the Dentist.

I'm at the dentist. :bawling:

I really am petrified of the dentist, major trauma. Might run for it. Anyone share this fear or does it not bother you.

thesheriff443 30-05-2012 08:57 AM

no kate fight your fears

Niamh. 30-05-2012 09:33 AM

Not really, I don't mind the dentist. I've never had anything very bad done there though. The worst thing was when I had to get an anaesthetic injection in my gums and while the needle was in my gum the side of it touched my lip and gave me a static shock it was horrible :bawling:

Vicky. 30-05-2012 09:44 AM

Never been bothered by the dentist.

Gav on the other hand is a nervous wreck everytime dentists get mentioned. Hes has a few bad experiences though

Maia 30-05-2012 09:48 AM

Never had a bad experience with dentists, every time I go there it's always "All fine, no problems, see you again in 6 months" :pipe:

Niall 30-05-2012 09:48 AM

Yes. I'm absolutely terrified. I have to go to the anaesthetic dentist thingy to be knocked out when they work on my teeth. I can't handle it.

lostalex 30-05-2012 10:32 AM

I've never understood the fear of dentists. I always liked it cause it meant i got a day off of school. It was like a special holiday just for me.

The only major dental problem i've ever had was when i was about 12, I slipped while walking around the pool and face planted and chipped my front tooth on the concrete. But even that wasn't really a big deal. I don't know how they fixed it, but i've never had any problems with it since, and i've never had any cavities or any other problems. Oh i had my wisdom teeth removed too, but that was at an oral surgeon, not the dentist, and i was unconscious during the extraction.

I don't mind the dentist at all.

mizzy25 30-05-2012 11:07 AM

im always @ the dentist ive got nearly all false teeth but im in the process of getting another 4 out and getting new dentures. no it doesnt bother me @ all im there that often lol

michael21 30-05-2012 11:13 AM

did Kate not make it :bawling::bawling::bawling:

Shanna 30-05-2012 11:16 AM

Oh I hear you Kate.

I'm petrified of the dentist too, and not for any specific reason. I think mostly it's the sounds and feeling of someone prodding around in your mouth. Or the drill...omg had a filling done about 4 years ago and the drilling freaked me out so much I had a panic attack on the chair...needless to say I go to the dental hospital now to be knocked out if anything needs done lol

Marsh. 30-05-2012 11:42 AM

I don't mind it, the only thing that scared me was when I had a filling done and I felt a sharp pain from the drilling because the anaesthetic wasn't injected in the right place. That made me wary for a while.

MTVN 30-05-2012 12:08 PM

I don't mind the dentist, apart from when he has to stick those cotton roll things in your mouth and it feels like you're about to choke, normally when he decides to start making small talk as well

Locke. 30-05-2012 12:31 PM

Haven't been the dentist for a while, they nearly killed me last time

Marc 30-05-2012 12:40 PM

Doesn't bother me

Stu 30-05-2012 12:43 PM

Anyone ever get fitted for retainers and have that gooey putty stuff in your mouth for awhile? Yeah try making small talk then.

I lasted a week with those things. Crooked teeth 4 lyf.

But yeah nag your G.P. for Xanax next time. You'll be indestructible.

Black Dagger 30-05-2012 12:44 PM

My dentist is such a nut-case, I'm sure he was abused as a child or something, the kicks he gets out of jabbing my teeth isn't healthy whatsoever :bored:

Roy Mars III 30-05-2012 12:44 PM

I don't mind the Denists, it's the Doctor's that scares the crap out of me.

Stu 30-05-2012 12:46 PM

Lisa needs braces.

Kate! 30-05-2012 01:09 PM

I'm alive :D

I'd chipped my a tooth so had to have a crown fitted. I think I should have had the Xanax, would have been grand. :D

Yes, same here. I HATE the doctor's office.

I'm not really scared of doctors, i just hate the whole process, first you have to wait in a room with old magazines and sick people for an hour, then when you finally get in you've gotta take your clothes off, and get weighed, and tell them about all of your unhealthy habits and then get lectured about it. It's tedious.
