Ach, he was only emulating what he saw adults doing on screen.

That little excuse will be getting noted by every underage nutjob as the perfect get out clause - then they will add in that they were too young to realise it was a fictional movie - and they thought setting fire to a baby was just what some adults do as well.

The judge should be ashamed of himself. The child was 12 years old, not 5. At the age you know difference between right and wrong.

How about his parents limit their kid's internet time? Sounds sensible to me, also it doesnt hurt to have the PC in the living room

The lad needs a more harsh punishment to realise the consequences of his actions, my sympathy goes to the poor victim in this.

Questions will arise now over how the Internet is controlled for under 18's etc?

I completely agree but it just goes to show that the Justice System has gone to pot.
