The BIG BROTHER 13 launch peaks at 3.09m/14.5% for Channel 5.

With an average of 2.6 million.

Hmmm...

arista 06-06-2012 08:54 AM

Yes more fun than
BBC Silk.

Marc 06-06-2012 08:59 AM

Not bad, they're going to just have to deal with these figures now. I don't see BB ever picking up like the BB3-7's of the past (I don't know the figures; I just mean it used to be much more popular in the past).

Raph 06-06-2012 08:59 AM

Hey, that's not too bad! Let's hope the launch was good enough to grip the majority of those viewers and maybe even attract some more.

Vanessa 06-06-2012 09:00 AM

I think it's ok as a start. I'm happy with it!

Pronshi 06-06-2012 09:09 AM

With billboards and if the show started at 9pm and finished at around 10:15pm-10:30pm I think the ratings could have being anywhere between 3.3-4.0
Let's just hope it can build up.
Without live feed tho there is no buzz to keep people watching... So really there is no way for the ratings to go up...

Well, all of terrestial elevision in general has gone down over the past few years. Not 7 years ago EE and Corrie had between 12 and 14m...now they're on 7/8m.

It's a good start. It well beat my predictions.

*mazedsalv** 06-06-2012 09:17 AM

Doesn't include Channel 5+1. Should be 2.7-2.8m.

Lewis. 06-06-2012 09:18 AM

Really good for C5 - most of their programmes don't get anywhere near that so I'm sure they are more than happy with it. I expct out of all their programmes it is bringing in the most amount of ad revenue.

I'll go over to DS and get the full viewing figures. Wait a second.

DrunkerThanMoses 06-06-2012 09:21 AM

Good rating for a show that was hardly advertised, I predict the main show will continue with around a million viewers.

Hasn't been released yet, but people saying it excludes +1. Should be 2.8m I think.

Pronshi 06-06-2012 09:24 AM

More ratings (excluding +1):

20:00- Big Brother: The Auditions: 1.2m (5.1%)
21:00- Big Brother: The Live Launch: 2.6m (12%)
22:45- Big Brother’s Bit on the Side: 820,000 (6.9%)

Redway 06-06-2012 09:25 AM

No, the ratings still haven't been done by DS. You'll have to wait an hour or two to get the full ratings, seeing as they don't usually post theirs till around midday.

Yeah, I figured. I'll just wait, then, but DS will definitely report them with the +1 figures in, since they always do that, so if +1 takes us to 2.8m it will be 2.8m.

Black Dagger 06-06-2012 09:37 AM

Hmm, respectable, it's down to it's final cult following though now, people know this.

Jake. 06-06-2012 09:51 AM

The Ratinhs For The Launch...

2.63 according to digital spy, with a 12% share.... good or dissapointing?

DS. 06-06-2012 09:52 AM

It's excluding 5 +1, which could bring it up to close to 3 million, so not fantastic but certainly not disappointing either.

Redway 06-06-2012 09:54 AM

Yeah, they're good. They're identical to BB12's launch night, which also logged 2.63m, only a 12.5% share.

Redway 06-06-2012 09:57 AM

Here they are:

Tuesday 5 June 2012 - Big Brother Launch and Auditions

Big Brother's 13th series made a solid start last night (Tuesday), according to the latest overnight data.

Remarkably, the Channel 5 reality show launched with 2.63m (12%) between 9pm and 10.45pm, exactly the same figure as last year's network launch in September.

A peak at The Auditions saw 1.18m (5.1%) tune in at 8pm, while Big Brother's Bit on the Side with Emma Willis logged 821k (6.9%) from 10.45pm.

MTVN 06-06-2012 09:59 AM

Where is the peak of 3.09m figure from?

To be honest, I really don't know. It wasn't reported on Digital Spy. Maybe it's from Media Guardian or something. I'll have a look now.

Edit: just had a look now and The Guardian (sorry, not Media Guardian) hasn't updated their ratings since late May. I don't know where the peak's from, either.

Another edit: just found what the OP was on about. http://beingbigbrother.co.uk/day-2-l...9m-in-ratings/

00Jamie00 06-06-2012 12:20 PM

That's a pretty good start

*mazedsalv** 06-06-2012 12:27 PM

With +1 it got 2.71m.
