Conflicted about Benedict
 

I am in a real tizz about supporting Benedict. When i heared a porn star was
entering BB house I sharpened my knife ready to despise whoever it was. I abhor porn, related sex industry and the insiduous way porn has crept into mainstream looking for acceptance, which hes part of.

However i'll be honest, rationally i can see Benedict is one of the best Hm in there right now: hes smart interesting seems witty clued up and ironically can hold convos not about sex. However i cant get over the porn thing. Grrr. Struggling to find an alternative. Hopefully someone surprises me.

I know it's early days but already I've heard some of the blokes in there talk in quite derogatory terms about women, something I've not heard Benedict do. Anyway, I have no problem with a "professional"; in comparison the majority of the amateurs in there are so profoundly immature and unattractive.

Ah well some ones got to do the job I suppose :shrug:

There is a picture on twitter of Darnell(bb9) getting a blow job and he is just sitting there. He is also in the porn that billi(bb8) made. :joker:

I've not really got any problem with someone working in porn, I just think he's quite articulate and open-minded, and that's why I like him.

I'd definitely date him. He's dirty weekend material... I doubt I'd take him home to meet my mother though, even if he does speak Hebrew.

I don't care what job he does, if he wants to stick his penis in somebody for a living and get paid for it, that is his prerogative.

He is one of my favourites because he comes across as open-minded and articulate and I really think he's somebody I can warm to this series. Like Shaun said above xD.

You and Shaun are right. The fact that he is articulate, obviously educated and very charming make him extremely attractive. If he had a nice face and a good body but was a gobsh1te, it'd be quite a different matter.

Urgh, no I actually have a hard time taking in this 'acceptable face of porn' the sex industry is rife with criminality and exploitation.
It doe's not sit well with me, however articulate and attractive the guy is.

Besides the porn thing, I hate the teacher thing as well. He looks like he's talking down to people trying to understand and analyze them, like teachers do. Quite condenscending.

Yes this is my dilema. Porn is degrading misogynistic exploitative mind warping and immoral. I stubbornly can't separate his choice of career from his good character.

I'VE WATCHED THAT MOVIE SO MANY TIMES. The one with Darnell and Billi Bhatti and some other guy?

SO THAT 'SOME OTHER GUY' WAS BENEDICT? This is mind blowing. The fact that that movie was about BB Housemates, and now he's went on to becoming one aswell. Irony. I love it.

That's a bit of a narrow minded view on it

People still have the idea that the porn industry is exploitative, and I'm sure in a few areas it may be. But in the main, it's well-regulated. I don't see it as misogynistic, and far from being coerced into the seedy world of porn, the actresses are in control of what they do. Many producers and directors of porn are women. It's widely viewed by a large proportion of the public and really, I don't see it as unhealthy. If it offends you, steer clear of it.
