Little things you miss about C4BB?
 

What little bit or things do you think or lacking in the Channel 5 BB? Or what special wee things are you sad that will never be back?

Davina

That little moment about halfway through the series after an eviction, where there was about 5 mins left and you would have a mini heart attack with excitement of hoping Davina would announce a twist.

What are yours? This is a place for reminiscing and remembering the show it used to be. The show is very different now, for better or worse, but I don't want a thread full of Channel 5 hate.

I miss a few things:

- Live feed on E4 at night and during the day for a few hours

- Anticipation of waiting for a twist announcement from Davina like you just mentioned. When she announced the House Next Door twist :love:
- Cars being used for entrances
- The big dome set that used to come out on finale night...now it's there all series :bored:
- Eatock's eyes
- BBLB
- Dermot O'Leary
- The proper indoor eviction studios in the George Lucas Stage that changed design each year
- Having three different set designs to look forward to (eviction, Little Brother and Big Mouth)
- Russell Brand
- Better website
- Better titles/graphics

Car Entrances

Well, I miss pretty much everything tbh, I'm not saying C5 Big Brother is worse then death, but they can change a lot.

- BBLB
- Being able to tune into live feed whenever I felt like it knowing it'd always be there
- Car entrances
- The whole area around the house being massive and spread out rather than boxed-in
- Eviction interviews always being indoors and the big dome being special and unique to the final
- When there was no music when housemates were evicted
- The excitement of Davina announcing a twist after an eviction, rather than "That's it til next week"
- Simplistic highlights show editing without the need for silly TOWIE nametags and music
- Simplistic "Coming Up" montage just before the break when they were quite humorous and not theatrical and BB US-style

Live Feed & Car Entraces with the HM's

The only thing I think Channel 5 has done right by BB is the vote to save and the first highlight show montage, where they'd have a quick re-cap of who entered the house. This is the only time I don't mind a music montage. Other than those two things, I can't really say I perfer anything Channel 5 has done with the show.

All of these. There seemed to be a much bigger buzz around the show when it was on C4 and much better press coverage (daily columns in The Sun/Mirror etc.) - I'm sorry but Channel 5 BB will never be as good as Channel 4 BB.

Looking back, that's actually quite a nice 'passing of the torch' between Davina and Brian, and C4 and Channel 5

What i miss from the good old Channel 4 days:
9pm timeslot
Titles - mainly creativity of the old ones
car entrances
much better website + videos on there without 125 second adverts
Crowd excitement so high you cant hear the intro music
Different studios
The highlights show didnt display everyone's name everytime they appeared like we're full on ******* that cant remember.
No montages + music every 2 minutes
Evil BB
Lots of booze
Proper 'new' twists - not old ones but slightly different
How the host owned the show when it was presented
Varying ages of housemates
Cleaning tasks
When you couldnt see the stairs to the door 24/7
The layout changed every year
Don't want to mention a certain 2 words, but a certain service in which the public could watch 24/7 and were able to make their own opinion of the housemates.
Actual anticipation when someone was evicted and leaving, instead of 2 seconds of boos/cheers then drowned out by some ****ty chart crap.
Full length summer series
2 series per year
NO contact with the outside world (although slacked in later years)
No freaks (again, slacked in later years when the show became a popularity show)
"ooh big brother i want to leave" - O.k. piss off
Less sex orientated series, daily star articles and house design - It's not gonna happen,so just drop it
I never thought i'd say it, but i kind of miss the tree of temptation and his tasks (Andrew's 24 task :) )
The simpler house designs, often thought the more basic and simple the house was, the better quality show the housemates made
BB sticking to the rules, once something is banned/forbidden, it stayed that way
The show in general from '00 to '06

What i'll miss about the Channel 5 series when it gets cancelled:
The excitement i had last year when i thought they would actually do the show justice bringing it back, not bury it with no chance of return
