Allowing Noms Discussion: Is it a good thing or....?
Housemates being allowed to discuss nominations, we had it last year and they've allowed it again for BB13. Do you think that overall it is a good thing for the show and adds to the entertainment value, or is it detrimental to the process, and your enjoyment as such?
Basically, are you for it or against it, and why? Wait for the poll. |
Discuss nomne or not (POLL)
Should the HM,s be allowed to discuss noms openly.
Im for it as you would never have had these two dullards up for the vote this week otherwise.
I think so.
I would say stop now, they have had a taster, but cut out the nom talking now before all the good HMs get kicked out and we are left with Cardboard Conor. and Trampy:devil:
Best thing about this series.
I don't see why not. If they actually nominate people then I fail to see why they shouldn't be allowed to discuss their nomination votes. It's what the housemates put themselves forward to, really, and they're well aware of it.
I don't like it .
I think they should be a few weeks of talking about noms and then ban them, that would mess with their heads. Im all for head wrecking.
I would rather have it so they were not allowed to discuss nominations. It allows for groups to vote tactically. I prefer there to be a mystery about who people are nominating. Of course HM's also have the opportunity to say they are voting one way, and then do so another, although I don't think that would go down too well with the public. Some could also see that as a strength in their game play though.
Don't like it. At first I thought it would be great, but seeing the results of the nominations in first two weeks, I've changed my mind and wish they would just return to the previous order.
it kills the show as far as im concerned. people can conspire to get people out thats why you see intresting people going while the rats stay.
The whole idear of big brother was isolation its a mind game show. but now they can talk about the most important part of the show it takes that away. people deciding in their own heads who cant speak and slip up and get caught is far more intrestiing than watching them talk openly and just bitch all the time. bring back real bb i say make them suffer, its all too easy now |
It's good to an extent, but it makes who's up predictable
Spoiler: |
here's why I'm against it (and btw I don't think that the two facing the vote this week are dullards, I agree Benedict hasn't lived up to what I hoped, but he's barely been shown until last night, and as for Lauren, she's a good housemate, shame she's been ground down by the jealousy crew, imo Conor and Becky are far more more boring) - the housemates are all in it to win it, I'm sure no-one will disagree with that, so given the opportunity to conspire, they are obviously going to try and get the biggest threats out and they have a different perception to us as to who those threats may be, they see it all, we don't. It will become even more obvious as the weeks go on, and we are in danger of losing all the best housemates and being left with deadwood. There was no bigger travesty than last year when Jay and Louise made it to the final at the expense of the superior (by far) Harry and Faye. smh. :bored:
At this rate, your finalists will include Becky and Conor, neither of which deserve it (imo). Yawn! |
Becky won't make the final. She'll be up next week.
And I don't think they're all in it to win it. Don't think most of the house believe they even could. |
Nah, bored of so much of the episodes being taken up by people discussing who they're gonna nominate
No. It dominates to much of the HLs for starters!
I love it
Yes, it's entertaining
Ugh no. It's awful and I'm sick of hearing them discuss and plot against eachother.
It does make the HLS tedious.
Banning discussion puts more strain on the HMs as evidenced by past series where they cannot resist and get punished. Excellent. |
Where is the 'it doesn't matter' option? They influence nominations by saying who they like and dislike anyway. What they put in the HLs is another thing really, and that's limited by the quality of HMs, the quality of tasks and the quality of the editors.
Do you think, that in allowing free discussions of nominations, that the producers could use this to their advantage and manipulate certain situations? (Such as in the case of not allowing Benedict to nominate as an example - they could do this basically to whomever they wished). They watch the house 24/7 and they could have a very good idea of who is going to nominate who.
Just a thought... |
:joker: at this thread being made after your two favorites are nominated
I don't think talking about nominations is a good thing. Not being able to talk about it feeds their paranoia.
