viewing figures were over 10 million until she arrived
at the start holly and reggie were in the back room out of the way and the singers just interacted with the judges, it was fantastic and it was fresh
then the vastly overpaid and over rated ego that is holly willoughby demanded a bigger role....so she came to the front wearing very little and interrupting every single dialogue between singer and coach with pre-prepared nonsense she reads off the dummy cards

why do producers pay these presenters like her millions (of tax payers money) when all they do is read off the dummy cards? she knows nothing about music, shes not funny or witty or spontaneous or original or knowledgeable , nothing

I dont even care if shes half way attractive , theres amillion others more attractive, this is meant to be about the voice and music not about holly willoughbys ego, her body and her overpaid over-rated talent ...all at the expense of the taxpayers

I notice shes played a clever game though, coming out in the press saying please dont sack jessie j...nice way to deflect attention....jessie j is a quality talented entertainer...holly is not...get rid

I agree, Holly was awful, which was surprising as she is usually quite good on other shows.
There is only one person up to presenting this show, and that's Davina. No other presenter even comes close to her, not that she'd even consider presenting this sinking ship.

honestly the show doesnt need any presenter...thats the irony here...look back at the first weeks and the chemistry and interaction between singer and judge was superb...these presenters are often over rated and overpaid....davina suited big brother because it needed that kind of energy....the voice just needs the singers and coaches

we shall have to agree to disagree..I watched every minute of every episode and she ruined it for me and my family....I blame it on the deicison by the producers to meet her demands for way more airtime....why make such a radical change when the show was 10 million+ It didnt need any changing? why did it need her interrupting crucial air time and ruining the chemistry between judges and singers....when you have a conversationwith a fellow english speaker.. do you really need a presenter jumping in between you acting as some kind of dumb interpretor?

No, she did not. Granted she wasn't particularly great but she was certainly better than the wooden Reggie Yates (what was the point of him even being there?) and there were much worse elements to the show that contributed to it's gradual decline. Holly was fine, and blaming her for the failure of the whole show is just laughable.

what were the viewing figures before she fronted the show? answer 10 million+
what were the figures after? less than 6 million

how much was she paid from tax payers money? millions...how much was she worth?
how much air time did reggie get fronting the show comapred to holly? a lot less
what was the show like when the singers were allowed to simply talk to the coaches and interact without interruption?
what was it like after she was fronting and interrupted every interview?
how often did judges not get a chance to give an opinion before she fronted the show and after? compare the 2.

mock as much as you like , be a sheep , be free of all original thought and play to the audience....I choose to form my own opionions regardless of others, thats what made me a millionaire...

before her taking over it was great , afterwards it was awful lost 5 million viewers and millions of £'s too...do the maths

I agree with the poster that no presenters are likely really needed for this show and certainly not 2 of them.

It was doing great until the coaches starting sending acts out and it seemed like the acts were being dropped like flies, far too many went out in only 2 weeks, people lost the chance to really see them and get to know them.

Also some of the best acts were sent out by the coaches, Tom in particular too early,the result was we were left with what appeared a really hurried rush to get to the end of the series, even the final seemed to be hurried through and the final result was the show got a good singer,no doubt as the Winner but a real star,no way.

That's why in my opinion it lost so meant viewers and if the format remains the same next year it will not get them back either.
The BBC had a likely real successful show here but they let a right mess be made of it in the end.

They should sack Holly for the next series. She really is a dull presenter, I dont get all the fuss :bored:

its a desperate attempt to just stick someone supposedly irresistably sexy to host to get in the male viewers ...its an insult to men. we all like a good looking woman, but gues what we men do think about other things too...i.e. good music. its not just the dumb pre-prepared nonsense she spouts, or her ego demanding she get more and more exposure, or the stupid clothes or the millions she gets paid with our money. its the fact she teals the most crucial air time, just when the singer starts and stop and gather their thoughts, just as theyre about to speak to the coaches and the audience, just about when they go through or win the whole thing, holly ruined every single one of these moments.....its the equivalent of an actor achieving their lifelong aim to win an oscar , they only get 60 seconds to speak and just as they start the speech some dumy presenter interrupts with meaningless cliches , talks all over it and destroys the moment...I feel VERY strongly about this

name me what she knows about music? name me one single thing she said that was memorable or funny? if you were paying her salary out of your own pocket how much would you pay her to read from dummy cards and interrupt everyone else?

Holly,
is attractive but not knowledgeable on music nor witty. She didn't bring much to the show.

Davina would of been perfect shes so quirky and witty everything Holly isn't.

Well done Holly, hopefully it dies a horrible death next year with the D-List judges.
