Who has the potential to be great?

On launch night, i was quietly confidence we'd have a great mix of housemates this year. However, now we're a few weeks in, i can't help but wonder what the series is going to look like in a fortnight if Benedict goes tonight and then, say, Lydia went next week (very likely, in my opinion). The public seem desperate to vote out the most "controversial" contestant, and they are usually the most entertaining.

I must admit, i was really disappointing Chris went last week. He was a really great housemate, who you could tell, had a lot to offer. This week we've really seen Benedict come out of his shell and turn into the housemate that a lot of us expected he would be - for the sake of the show, he MUST stay.

Hypothetically, let's say Benedict and Lydia go in the next 2 weeks. If you look at the rest of the house, who out of the remaining housemates, who has the potential to become a "great housemate"? I must admit, i don't see a whole lot of potential from anyone, to be honest.

Out of the boys:

Luke A - Seems an introvert, who won't change throughout.
Luke S - A real bore.
Connor - See above.
Arron - Best of a bad bunch, hopefully he'll start pissing more people off.
Adam - Don't see much potential to be honest. Nice fella though.
Scott - See "Luke S".

And then the girls:

Deana - Don't see her drastically becoming really entertaining.
Shievonne - The female version of Adam.
Ashleigh - Annoying and not entertaining in the slightest.
Sara - Who?
Becky - Hasn't entertained me once so far. Also, she disgusts me.
Caroline - A real bitch, but i think she is certainly one who has potential.

Maybe i'm being harsh, but there really isn't much there to get excited about. Thinking back on previous years, we've had big characters, with big opinions, who have divided the public. Just last year, housemates like Harry, Jay, Aaron, Rebeckah really left their mark on the series.

Hopefully, i'll be proved wrong, but i'm starting to doubt there are any characters like that, if the worst does happen and Chris, Benedict and Lydia all drop in the space of 3 weeks.

Luke S will surprise us. I think the HMs are trying to bring out an angry side. Chris said that Luke S will reveal himself to be very aggressive, so I say watch that space.

Ashleigh is pretty much a bitch and Caroline is ruling the house.

But Benedict and Lydia HAVE to stay.

lots of boring people in this one. thats why they changed the rules they knew they were voting out the best ones.
cant see anyone being that intresting only if they are forced to be via tasks punishments and arguments. luke s is a one trick pony shirt of for the voting teens and keep out of trouble so he wins. smartest one there. more pranks on that turd will suss him out.

its a sad day when i find myself liking arron over so many others lol may god forgive me ha

I don't think Shievonne is a "female version of Adam" at all. I think she has the potential to be hugely entertaining. We haven't seen much of her yet as she has not been deemed as worthy of air time as some of the others, but if she manages to stay in, we get to see more of HM's as they are whittled down. I am hoping she will come into her own and become a bigger character in there. But who knows what's going to happen....

I really hope Benedict stays this week too. I like Lauren, but I don't think she makes great television entertainment wise.

I think Shievonne has the potential to be either loveable or one of those housemates everybody loves to hate.

I hoenstly think Lauren. And Lydia given the right tasks and a lasting stay!

Caroline is the most entertaining in there

Actually Lydia too, how cringey was she last night though with that speech and all the name dropping
