Complained to Ofcom about last nights episode

Never felt compelled to complain through OFCOM before but last night's episode was the most uncomfortable viewing ever. Conor should have been removed, people have been removed in previous seasons for much less worse (Emily BB8 is a prime example). I just had a feeling that their treatment of Deana would get worse and I was right, it's now just as bad as the Shilpa treatment in CBB5.

Before anyone starts accusing me of wanting Big Brother off air, that is not what I want. BB is one of my favorite shows and despite last night's episode I do not want to see Big Brother get axed again. All I want is for the violent thug Conor to be removed and the whole house or the gang who yesterday discussed nominations in code to be put up for eviction this week. If the nominations stay the same then it just shows that the producers completely favor the vile gang and clearly want one of them to win. Conor showed no remorse for his actions after his chat with Big Brother and the thug should not be able to get away with this unscathed. I also feel that Caroline and Becky should get warnings for hiding Deana's epilator again, completely unprovoked "prank" which wasn't done for a laugh, it was done in pure malice.

Well at least they showed what a thug conner is. They could have edited it out.
He seriously should have gone for that, it was worse than others have done and gone for.

mizzy25 26-06-2012 08:00 AM

agree with everything u have said

Yeah, agreed. I find it unbelievable that he's still in the house, what sort of message is that sending to future applicants and young viewers of the show? Oh, you can say whatever you wish, bully a housemate if you like. You'll get a mild warning for it but we won't remove you or even put you up for eviction. :bored:

Another reason I complained to OFCOM was because what's the point of complaining to Channel 5? They never reply and they never listen to us regardless so it would have been pointless. At least with OFCOM there's a chance I'll get a reply.

Well done for reporting it by the way.

I agree with everything the OP said except as it's difficult for BB to prove they were talking in code, I thin k that's why they are letting that slip.

I completely agree with everything the OP says about Conor and have been calling for pressure to be brought on BB s main site, twitter and Facebook to achieve his immediate removal.

As the code case can't be proven easily, and as I totally agree it has appeared that BB favour the nasty side (anything as long as it gives them more ratings and money) then if they do nothing to punish the rulebreakers then it confirms they want one of the nasty side to win.

As Caroline (who was also behind abuse of Deanna) and Ashleigh both broke the rules and the whole house is getting punished, I've been calling for the immediate removal of Conor plus the putting up for eviction of Caroline and Ashleigh.

We could maybe allow Deanna back in for another week if she wants to of course, because the vile Arron and Luke S,and Becky are still there, but it could be left up to her.Anyway, please everyone cause a storm at BB,twitter and Facebook, and call for the removal of Conor, and the putting up of Caroline and Ashleigh and maybe the putting back in of Deanna if she loses this Friday or just cancel the announced vote for this week and instead only have a vote on Caroline and Ashleigh.

Everyone on this forum and on DS know they were speaking in code, the producers know it as well. Housemates have discussed nominations through code in almost every series and BB are usually quick to reprimand them, they were actually less subtle about it in previous seasons yet BB still put them all up for eviction. The whole house or the gang who were discussing nominations in code should face eviction.

Let's destroy BB - complain to OFCOM.

Perhaps some things are more important than a television program. If BB has become about condoning and justifying that kind of sick behavior, then we're better off without it frankly.

waterhog 26-06-2012 08:58 AM

the good must come through and it must be seen this way - they must not let nasty bits of work like conor get away with it. i have just wrote a poem about conor and if he is a nasty bit of work but as i see you have raised this issue.

Petershaw1984 26-06-2012 09:23 AM

Ive emailed ofcom too, first time ever for me, dont know what it will do though

Gstar 26-06-2012 09:31 AM

It's the fact that they don't care about being punished because they know it will be mild.

When BB sat them down on the sofas last night to tell them off about nominations most of them were smiling/laughing because they knew the punishment was gonna be rubbish, they're just making a fool out of big brother and I don't blame them.

TOO SOFT

Yeah, they are way too soft on them. Ever since it's moved to Channel 5 they have been. It needs to get back to tough BB where rule breaks mean housemates are put up for eviction.

Adamw92 26-06-2012 10:08 AM

When Big Brother announced the no alcohol thing last night, I literally rolled my eyes "Big Brother takes rule breaking very seriously".

Whatever.

Munchkins 26-06-2012 10:10 AM

I have complained to Ofcom and the Sponsors

Hopefully action will be taken to this vile behavior...

Livia 26-06-2012 10:12 AM

I usually roll my eyes when people say they've complained to Ofcom... but I have to say, well done to those people who felt strongly enough. Last night was really appalling to watch.

Brother Leon 26-06-2012 10:12 AM

Blue Peter badge for you sir.

smeagol 26-06-2012 10:14 AM

i complained and i always think people who do are sados's which mostly they are. but that in bb last night was just plain mental that they didnt remove him. i said he should of been removed for threating benedict how many chances they want to give. or are they waiting till he does soemthign for real or says somethign worst whats next from this guy racisim or something who knows he is unstable though , too risky keepign him in anyway
its bb's fault they should have no tolerance for that kind of thing. empty threats fine let it go. but that was way over that.
The enjoyment of the show is runed for me . how can you enjoy a programme with scum like that allowed to stay, bb are either very naive or extremely thick. as now they are in trouble which they could of and SHOULD of avoided. and still could sort it if they act quick.

Here's the link:

http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/tell-us/

I never had neither so I wasn't sure how it worked but it was surprisingly easy to do.

Thanks for that.

Unforunately, it won't let me send it because I can't choose the programme I'm complaining about, when I click to select it the list of programmes won't show up :(

Click on the second drop down menu on the electronic programme guide and select Monday 25th June, use the red arrows to go up to 9pm and select Big Brother.

I have also complained to Ofcom about conor and BB and its the 1st time i've ever complained.

flamingGalah! 26-06-2012 11:01 AM

Well done.

I was absolutely disgusted by Conor last night & actually shocked by what he said. It beggars belief that they didn't remove him from the house & what is perhaps more shocking is the support for him that is STILL there from many idiotic teenage girls! I can only imagine what sort of blokes these girls will end up with as if Conor says stuff like that when he knows he is being watched by millions, what on earth would he say/do behind closed doors in the outside world?!? :nono:

This vile thug needs to be removed.

well let's hope channel 5 get inundated with 'complaints' then maybe they will feel BB is not worth investing in and scrap it all together which I can see happening, people will spite themselves in the end.
