Jesus Christ, pass the whisky, I just got attacked by an Alsatian!

I was in the town centre before I came here (the library) and I was attacked by an alsatian. I kid you not.

Here's what happened.......

I was walking past the Town Hall, en route to the lovely (not) JobCentre, and approaching me from the opposite direction was an old man (in his 60's, or a very rough looking 50's) with two Alsatians. They started barking as they came near me, and just after I passed the man, I felt the bigger of the two dogs grab my trousers with its teeth, the man snatched the dog back quickly or it would have got flesh !!!!!!

I was in shock and these other people across the road started shouting at the man that the dogs should be muzzled but he just shook his head at it all and started walking off. Unbelievable. One of them went up to him and said, where you going, are you not going to do anything, again he shrugged and walked off towards the shops.

OMG what a bastard! I could have been killed. Or at least brutally maimed. Or not! (:hugesmile)....seriously though, what if that had been a kid and his reactions hadn't been as quick. Horrible thought.

So I went to the Town Hall and reported it to the Dog Wardens, apparently they are going to check CCTV footage and see what's what!

A very eventful afternoon then. Why am I one of these people who everything happens to?

Idk!!!!

I should have screamed blue murder, could have been on the local news.

The dogs sound a bit vicious. If they behave like that, as you say, they could do damage to somebody, even a small child who goes to stroke them possibly. The guy needs to take more responsibility for their actions rather than just walking off. He obviously needs to take better control of them. Whiskey is good for shock.

I saw this and assumed an Alsatian was a person from Alsace.

I was kidding about the whisky  lol ;)

I can joke about it now, and no harm done, but it could have been very nasty. I hope he shows up walking through the town on the CCTV. Something should be done.

 Alsatians are big dogs as well, but you should never show fear to a dog or else it'll get you.

I was wary as they passed, cos I was chased by a pack of Alsatians when I was on my way home from school once, I was about 14. I think it sensed it, also I had just eaten a sausage roll, so I probably smelled like meat and thought I was a long sausage with legs..... I was quite scared.

I hate dogs like that, and the owners are usually just as bad. Glad you're ok though!
