There's rumours going around that Alexandra Burke has been dropped.

I wasn't keen on her Music but it's sad to hear about this as it's not nice to hear someone lose there job.

Anyway that's if it's true.

King Gizzard 28-06-2012 01:07 AM

Well she hasn't really lost her job really she's still a singer

MTVN 28-06-2012 01:08 AM

Looks like it's the breadline for her now

Well yeah there is always a chance another label could pick her up.

Mrluvaluva 28-06-2012 01:10 AM

off a cliff?

Lewis. 28-06-2012 01:28 AM

I doubt it - she's still doing fairly well. If she is dropped she will be picked up by a smaller record company in an instant - Elephant got to number 3 in the charts which is still very good. She's always making appearances on chat-shows and panel shows (particularly of the ITV2 variety) and is very marketable as a performer and a person and is always having positive things written about her in the newspapers and the magazines. She's still very current so I don't see why her record company would feel the need to drop her after just one bad album charting.

She'll have to turn to other means now if she wants to continue the life she's become accustomed to.

Jords 28-06-2012 01:47 AM

CBB next year

if it's true then I'd struggle to see what the allure of a Syco record deal is to future XF wannabes. I mean, sure, I struggle to see it (with the whole 'expense of my dignity' thing) already, but really... how dense do you have to be? Nobody past 2 years ago on the X Factor would still be signed to them.

oh, except JLS. what the hell happened there?

Harry! 28-06-2012 04:13 PM

Shaun JLS were never on the Syco record label, they are on Epic Records.

It is sad that she might be dropped but as she is a very marketable singer we shall expect to see her in the future.

Rumors going around? Where? This is the first I've heard of it.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if it did turn out to be true, it's not been a good year for her.

Her Brother on Twitter said it's done, and basically give up on Alexandra getting a third album for now.

Well I've just been on her Twitter page and she's wrote this:

Rumours rumours rumours! Lol. Facts are way more fun! Don't believe everything you hear and read !
so that leads me to believe that this isn't true. Even though it wouldn't be hugely surprising, she does have 3 number 1 singles under her belt and her debut album went to #1 and sold loads, too. This new album and the singles that have been released from it have been a total flop yes but I'm not sure they would be so willing to give up on her over one flop album. Most artists have one album that flopped/under performed commercially.

Only her latest single has been a real flop - Elephant still managed to get to number 3. Her album however has been bad figure wise. Glad it seems it isn't true though.
