Yer I thought it was supposed to be a girl! I wonder if they named him after the mc from the SO SOLID CREW?

steve_o 01-09-2002 05:36 PM

Well done, but I'm not sure about the name though. I bet that was Victoria's idea.

:spin:

LEE 01-09-2002 06:22 PM

I agree Steve. 'Romeo' certainly wouldn't be my choise for a name. Congrats to the Beckhams though.

:flower:

kaphc 01-09-2002 07:10 PM

Congratulations Victoria and David!

And also congratulations to my brother David and his girlfriend Heather who had a little boy at 1:51am today. He weighed 7lb 10 oz and is called Harvey. We went down to Brighton this afternoon to see them all and Harvey is absolutely gorgeous!

:hello: :hello:

Mairi 01-09-2002 09:18 PM

Congratulations Heather and David.

You sound like a really proud Auntie, kaphc, and I think Harvey is a lovely name. I take it they didn't even consider Romeo?

Kaz 01-09-2002 09:31 PM

Yes, congratulations to Heather and David, Auntie Kaph! :hello:

Bet you can't wait for the arrival of your own bundle of joy ................. our first TiBB baby!

Be sure to keep us updated on your progress now, we all want to know when we're going to be surrogate aunties and uncles!!!

Tonto1278 02-09-2002 12:26 AM

OMG Kaphc your nephew who was born yesterday is called Harvey, cool name by the way, and the Beckhams called there new boy born yesterday Romeo. Is it just me or are all the babies born yesterday being called after members of the "So Solid Crew" ?
That is such a coincidence! Soon someone will come in saying they've got a new baby girl called Lisa Mafia!!! lol

James 02-09-2002 06:43 AM

The names celebrities give their children:

http://www.angelfire.com/nm/nameyourbaby/celeb.html

My own personal favourite: Tron.

Princess Pink Pants 02-09-2002 09:23 AM

Moonunit?! Dweezil?! Sage Moonblood?! Satchel!?

Its just cruel!! I'd never do that to my kids!

Maggie 02-09-2002 11:21 AM

Tron, was'nt that a robot in a cartoon, I'm sure I have a video of it, from when my boys were small :conf:

Congrats to Heather and David, :hello: lovely name

And to Victoria and David :hello: not to sure about the name though.
My darling grandson was 6 years old yesterday, his name is Lewis and he loves Scooby and Spiderman, so you can guess what his presents were this year

Sticks 02-09-2002 11:38 AM

Could be worse

They could give hime a middle name of Oscar

LEE 02-09-2002 12:21 PM

lol

Kaz 02-09-2002 12:52 PM

What's wrong with that, Sticks? :conf:

That would make his initials R.O.B.!!!!! :hello:

LEE 02-09-2002 12:58 PM

Romeo and Oscar are both used in the phoenetic alphabet and it is part of the usual Police call signal.

Kaz 02-09-2002 01:39 PM

 I knew that, honest!

I was just pointing out what illustrious initials the new baby Beckham would have!!!

bonzobravo 02-09-2002 04:16 PM

Oscar is a fantastic name. My mate Lee always used to take the piss out of me, cos he reckons I have a resemblence to Oscar Wilde???

kaphc 02-09-2002 07:48 PM

Thanx to all who posted congratulations messages!

I was amused by the So Solid Crew reference- mind you there are so many of them that whatever name Dave and Heather picked, it would probably be someone from the Crew! They hadn't had Romeo on their list of names, just as well I guess!

My 21-week scan is on Wednesday this week so I will let you all know how it goes. I didn't want to know the gender before, but now I'm really curious ... I am going to have to resist the temptation to change my mind and find out, as I have been so adamant that I didn't want to know before!

 :hello:
