deana far more interesting than lydia was
 

tonight proved yet again she is a far better and more entertaining housemate than the over rated lydia

the difference is, lydia was a joke, totally exaggerated and over the top and simply got everything wrong, thought she was smart , she wasnt she was idiotic 24 hrs a day

now deana is a whole different ball of wax...shes a loose cannon in there...with no real ties and no obvious see through game plan like lydia...she doesnt rely on any specific friendship either....shes smart in some ways and certainl able to keep her cool often and state her case under pressure....she dishes out revenge in a cool headed way which probably infuriates those she goes after

tonight she owned luke s, simply because the whole argument it was about, i.e. money and flowers and would she rather keep th emoney on spend it on a big wedding etc....she was in the right. personally i thought she slightly over reachedwith her revenge and it was a bit too obvious just as her other revenge when she told luke s aaron had known about his poisoned protein powder.

but she is a wildcard in there and everyone is a bt weary of her now

if theyre smart they will know, if they treat her ok then she probably wont hurt you, but if u attack her no reason as luke did, she will get her claws out

as for luke s, he had a decent episode up till then , but he totally lost the plot trying to paint her as a gold digger without doing his homework first

if she keeps this up, we may be looking at an unlikely winner.

Ive always found them both very interesting, but Lydia was always a character I enjoyed watching, so much to her and the way she adapted her thoughts.

Also I do actually think, despite the frenemy relationship between Lydia and Deana, that fans of 1 often supported the other as well and enjoyed watching their love/hate thing.

the reason I compare them is because they were head to head last week and a load said lydia would be more entertaining, I disagreed as did some voters....it wasnt just voting because lydia was nicer, I think deana is infinitely more interesting than deana with far more dimensions and possibilities....lydia was just a one dimensional caricature of a bad guy,,Im bored of people claiming such housemates and somehow amazingly entertaining when theyre not.

she just played that role, rather than actually enjoying the experience and showing us the real lydia...I found that disappojnting and she made no impression on me at all....deana is proving she deserved her place, beyond the sympathy vote. deana is picking her moments and taking them when they come

I think the difference with Lydia and Deana is that people who loved Lydia liked watching her - the tactics, her key perception with what went on in the house, how she went in all guns blazing in an argument and just simply her facial expressions were able to get people laughing. Whereas Deana as youve touched on has a much stronger social aspect to her presence. The ability to confront + stay honest and how her bonds in the house frequently changes and never completely set in stone. Her interactions with the housemates I guess you could say are more interesting.

deana has given me things to think about and take away from watching the show...very few housemates ever do that. lydia I cant remember a word she said, she just didnt engage her brain at all before speaking....in the end she just made a noise and gurned her face a lot...honestly I think she was phenomenally dumb but Im trying not to sound too mean about it, honest

fair enough. I may be going OTT to underline my point here. I just dislike the way we as people often jump to one conclusion and follow like sheep, as I believe we do sometimes with housemates. we cant wait for big brother to tell us who the controversial ones are then feed us the old cliche theyre the interesting ones and its a shame theyre voted out etc its over simplfied nonsense. lets forget the headlines and read between the lines. the real class acts pick their battle, choose their moments and when it comes they pounce with the timing of an eagle snarring a gutter rat

How exactly is she boring?

I think the other housemates constantly interrupting Deana, telling her to 'just forget it', is pretty telling that Deana just moans all the time about everything. People are giving her a lot of props for sticking up for herself but at the end of the day if the public didn't feel so sympathetic for her she'd be screwed and out next week for how she's acted.

Both are fantastic, such a shame they had to face eachother so early
