He is out of place there
so it makes sense.

Of Course he has his TV shows now
(away from the Bloated BBC)

Urgh I can't stand chris moyles...Im ashamed to be from the same town!

Petty thread title.

Anyway, I dreaded this day. Awful news to wake up to. It's a shame he didn't go for the ten years in 2014 and then leave, I think that's what most expected so this has come as a bit of a surprise. I don't care what anybody says he's far and away the best DJ on the network and is one of the best broadcasters in this country, most just don't understand the tongue in cheek humour that surrounds him and the show.

I knew Grimmy would end up being the replacement. I'd have preferred Greg James (and it probably would've been him had he not just got drive), but oh well.

Listen to the classic announcement here

Yes

"Nick Grimshaw is to take over the BBC Radio 1 breakfast show following the shock departure of Chris Moyles.
The former T4 presenter, 27, who currently presents a late night show on the station, will switch to mornings in September."

He's not leaving Radio 1, he's leaving the breakfast show and taking a two or three month break, his contract with Radio 1 doesn't end till 2014, he'll probably do a weekend show or Nick's old slot for two years then move to Radio 2 or 5 Live.

Grimmy's voice annoys me

Marcus. 11-07-2012 04:28 PM

Would love him to get Grimmy's evening show. 10 till midnight in a kind of late night Chris Moyles Show with Dave, Dom and Aled.

Bet Huw replaces Grimmy though and Chris ends up taking over weekends 1pm - 4pm.

I imagine Nick Grimshaw will just send people back to sleep, personality of a bollard

As for Moyles I've never listened to his show so

They used to get away with quite a lot just on their afternoon show so I would prefer that too.
