BB14USA Ratings Thread

Here we go
If it's red that means it's down from last year
Green it means it's up

Episode #1 - 7.09 Million but 2nd highest since 2008 in the 18-49 demo the most important one
Ep #2 6.2 million but #1 in 18-49 the most important demo for the night
5,7 Million for Ep #3. If this continues they will pull some stunt.

swinearefine 13-07-2012 04:35 PM

:( I was hoping for around 8 million

BBfanUSA 13-07-2012 04:36 PM

But this season looks promising so I expect it to go over 8 million by week 3 or 4

BBfanUSA 16-07-2012 08:07 PM

I retract my previous statement. 6.2 for ep 2

I doubt the ratings will get much better, you have to remember that 1. this is an election year, so lots of people will be watching the cable news channels more, and 2. this is an olympics year, so during the olympics i expect it to do HORRIBLY.

I"m sure CBS expects to have a low ratings summer for those reasons.

Thanks for the ratings updates though, it's always interesting BBUSAFAN.

Yeah I guess you do have a point but by this time people are so tired of the election that they don't care about it until a month to go.

We'll see how this season goes when week 3 or 4 passes by. It'll still get renewed anyway by CBS.

Also people may be turned off by retreads.

I'm a huge BBUSA fan , but even i'd still watch the Olympics over BB. So i'm sure the casual viewer is gonna be watching the olympics too.

Episode 3 - 5.6m
Episode 4 - 6.2m

Hmmm not good :/

BBfanUSA 20-07-2012 03:58 PM

at least it went up.

reece(: 20-07-2012 04:04 PM

Why so many viewers lost?!:(

BBfanUSA 20-07-2012 04:10 PM

the editing and the facts that the vets are there for nothing are probably contributing to that.

Part of me wants less than stellar ratings just so they can fire AG.

swinearefine 20-07-2012 05:11 PM

I don't think people like seeing newbies mixed with vets, and I think this year a lot of people have had enough. The same thing is happening with Survivor.

mkbb 20-07-2012 05:47 PM

Is it still winning its time slots though? That is the main thing the shows comparison with everything else on at the same time.

BBfanUSA 20-07-2012 06:45 PM

yeah in it's slots it is. But because of The Glass House, I've been hearing that CBS wants Amazing ratings which is why we're worried. (I would say 6 million in the summer equals 10 mil in the fall/winter)

There's a good chance that CBS wanted Vets (Yet again) too.

Its never really been a high rated show in years, this is average for them

Well it's been on a big upswing since BB10 so the ratings are lower than expected.

They both broke 8 million, which for the summer is great. Clearly you don't know much about ratings :joker:

wrong, I dont know much about BB ratings, but i can school you on ratings, GRPs, target, shares and reach if you want.. I work in advertisig. Wich is why 8 MM is ****e, 10MM is considered good in the summer depending on time slot and competition.

dont assume things just because people ask you a question.

Shows rarely break 10m during the summer. I think only America's Got Talent occasionally does.

Exactly. 8 million viewers is pretty good for the summer.

Vladimir 23-07-2012 04:46 PM

Episode 5 - 5.36m

and 1.9 (18-49 demo)

Ouch, CBS were probably expecting waaaaay better ratings. This is not good. :(

swinearefine 23-07-2012 04:51 PM

This must be the worst ratings BB has ever got. I don't understand why :conf:
