They close it so you can hear an evicted HM, not rocket science!

eviction and his gay love quest, was virtually boasting that he wanted
Lydia to hear the boos. He seemed to relish ruining her night.

One of the crew was interviewed on BOTS and more or less admitted he accidentally on purpose forgot to close it.

Sometimes the bias is so transparent. Puts me off watching the show tbh coz it makes me wonder how much they're being creative with the editing to promote their favourites.

I'm glad they closed, cause sometimes when they left it opened you can't hear what the HM is saying with all the booing/cheering.
